Thanks so much for all the input. Everyone’s rings are so gorgeous. I ❤ moissanite. I think with the OEC the warmth would bother me. I’d much prefer a whiter stone. I think they are really pretty just not for me. Im sure I’ll be making another trip to try on again. Keep showing me those rings!

The first engagement ring I had was a 5.5mm square cut moissanite. After wearing it for a few months I found out I wasn’t too big a fan of the square cut, mostly due to the “X” in the center of the stone and the harshness of the edges. Then, like an idiot I lost my ring (took it off to wash my hands in a public washroom and forgot to put it back on and it fell out of my pocket). When ordering a replacement, after tons of research, I decided to go with the cushion cut instead. It just arrived today and I am extremely happy with it. It’s super sparkly and since everyone I know either has round or princess cut diamonds, it feels a bit more unique to me.

I own a cushion cut smoky quartz (8×8 mm). Not the same cut as moissy exactly but I love the large facets. I also own a 9mm OEC moissy and an 8mm amora moissy. Both gorgeous!! The OEC is more interesting to me, with its chunky pastel sparkle. Mine is super white and usually looks like my amora moissy. Both stones can look warmer in certain lighting, which I love. Looks amazing in rose gold 😉

Hello! I vote OEC as well. I’ve had both an RB and an OEC moissanite and the OEC is brighter and whiter, and the facets are just more beautiful than the RB cut 🙂 Both forever brilliant enhanced. Here’s some honest pics of how it appears in a variety of lighting conditions, hope that helps!. The smaller stones are diamonds, but I’m not sure of their grade, perhaps H colour? Honestly, if I look really closly I can see a slight difference in colour, but it’s hard to say if it’s just the size difference. In my opinion it adds more depth to the stone.
Sorry for LOTS of pics, it’s new and I’m excited!
