I haven’t purchased from them, but there have been a few posts about the company recently that are pretty concerning. They seem kind of shady.

Agree with pp, if you go through a couple pages of this thread there are a few different people that have gotten pieces that they had been frauded on. I would advise against it.

Read the “had my ring checked diamonds=moissanite” thread just a few posts down.

Val13 :  My ring is from them and my fiancé didn’t have any issues. The only thing is my ring could’ve been ordered with up to a 9 mm stone, but they advised him going over 6.5 mm because the setting wouldn’t hold. Which I think is silly. Don’t list larger stones if you can’t make the ring. But I do love my ring, so it’s all good.

I have.

If you’re going to order from them, make sure you are happy with your main stone (as in you know for sure what it looks like) and make sure you know what kind of side stones you’re getting.

If you get it and are happy with the ring, you are in the clear. If you are not, lol, then good luck.

Val13 :  they are shady AF. Check out the BBB reviews on them and search the threads here. They lied about the stones they set in several rings on here and then tried to edit the website to look like it was always that way, however the smart bees on here were able to pull up the webcache that shows they changed it after the issues were brought to light here.

I was going to go with them, then read all of the reviews here and elsewhere. They aren’t willing to work with anyone if there is an issue it seems. I decided to justgo to a local jeweler – not a chain.

In 2008 I purchased a solitaire ring from them.  When it arrived I took it to a local jewelry store to get cleaned because it looked dirty.  They put it under their lens and asked me how long I had the ring because the prongs were very worn down.  I explained I just received it and they suggested I return it because it was obviously a used ring.  I was extremely disappointed.  I called Mossianiteco and they had me return it and they immediately sent me out another ring, new this time.  I’ve now had the ring since 2008, I wear it daily 24/7, gardening, household chores etc…. and have never had a problem.  Today it looks as beautiful as the day I received it 10 years ago.

In 2016 my significant other purchased me a beautiful mossianite halo ring but this time he bought it from Charles and Colvard.  Again, I wear this ring 24/7 for 2 years now with no issues.

I have personally have had good experiences with them. I love my engagement ring and they are currently making me a custom band to go with it. No issues with the custom design process and they have been timely and attentive to emails.

I’ve stayed out of all the recent drama w/ them as I’ve worked in customer service for many years and I know that a few bad experiences, even similar ones, doesn’t neccessarily make a company completely bad or their products a sham. I wouldn’t say the bees who’ve had bad experiences are lying, and I’m sure some poor decisions, or even negligent ones were made by the folks at moissyco. They had their experiences and I had mine. None of us are wrong and all of us have the right to do business with them or not based on our experiences.

MoissaniteCo has clearly been active (maybe too much so, but still) in getting the issues resolved and in finding a resolution for the affected customers. The bee can have a mob-mentality when it comes to things like this and you have to remember we’re not their only customers and most of their sales likely DON’T come from forum members and likely go off with no hassles at all. People will tell you to look at their BBB, but look at what, their A+? Online reviews are often tainted by lots of seemingly bad reviews due to the nature of people won’t take the time to comment on an average experience, or even a good experience. I know I’ve only ever left negative feedback on a business page. That doesn’t mean all the great experiences I’ve had at businesses didn’t happen!

Personally, I would recommend them, and if recent reviews have made you wary definitely check every line of anything you agree upon, get it in writing, and make sure you’re happy with the final product. (To be fair, these are things I’d recommend for any purchase)

I have bought three pairs of earrings and two rings from Moissonite and Co. and I have had great experiences each time. Their prices are generally also the lowest, and they have a great selection of styles.

I’ve purchased 4 rings from moissaniteco. I have been happy each time.

Chris and Craig were lovely and patient with me – I am a serial emailer and pest.

I’ve had a wedding set with delicate pave with an 8mm round brilliant and it was gorgeous. A pave stone fell out and they were wonderful in trying to rectify the issue. I am based in Australia and they even offered to pay towards the replacement stone I had put in given the postage back and forth was a nightmare but I think I forgot to put the bill to them. But they tried and they offered which to me meant a lot.

My only issue has been with a moissanite 3mm eternity and another ring I had made that had 3mm stones in shared prong setting. ALL of the stones have chipped. The first ring I actually threw in the bin it was so badly damaged but the eternity is/was my wedding ring so I am in the process of discussing it with them. It’s hard because the small moissanites were quite brittle 6 years ago when i purchased the ring and any hit to the girdle shattered them. I am hoping they make it right.

I now have a custom 9x7mm cushion in rose gold with platinum prongs and I love it.  There has been some drama with the side stones used; and probably some serious naivity on the behalf of MOCO. I hope to think it was not a deceptive move… their pricing does reflect the stones they use.. but there wasn’t any communication about it which left people feeling deceived.

I cant personally fault them – they have always been wonderful to me and their pricing is great.
