toffeeskies :  My point was that the stone you’re planning on buying from MoCo is still a C&C stone…the company you’re claiming to be racist. So buying a F1 stone if you don’t like the company’s values doesn’t make any sense.

dracarys :  You’re right, I don’t know why I thought it would make any difference buying from a diff company that uses their stones lol. Now I’m in an ethical predicament

toffeeskies :  Don’t worry! C&C is no longer the end all, be all of moissnite ๐Ÿ™‚ Plenty of vendors to choose from.

I would recommend Fire and Brilliance! My engagement ring came from there and they now have their own lines of moissanite, so if you considering an OEC or OMC, they have those too. Mine is a C&C Hearts and Arrows, but I’ve been eyeing those beautiful OECs.. They have beautiful, unique designs but they also have what you are looking for. Customer service is very helpful too.  https://fireandbrilliance.com/

ariamand :  Throwing in another recommendation for Joseph Schubach. We had my engagement ring custom made with them. The communication was amazing, they were very thorough, my stone was handpicked and I even got youtube videos of stones to pick from! And a youtube video of the finished ring. Lots of personal touches. Well known for how great they are working with moissanite.

The setting you want seems pretty straight forward, and I’m sure you can find it on moissaniteco’s website. We’ve bought two pieces from them. The first didn’t work out, but we got it resolved. There’s no 1-800 number to call, so communication is a little slower. The second piece was beautiful, and the transaction was super simple – but the ring ended up not getting a lot of wear from me, so I sold it to someone who could enjoy it properly ๐Ÿ™‚

So it’s a trade-off between paying a little more for something you know has great customer service and craftsmanship, or paying a little less for something straight-forward/stock.

ariamand :  I highly recommend “The True Gem” — gorgeous hand made settings that are beyond beautiful and the customer service is amazing. Take a look at their Instagram to see tons of videos of the moissanite stones in action ๐Ÿ™‚

bsgal :  I second this completely. I follow the True Gem on Instagram and they post a ton of videos and photos showcasing their designs. I’ve emailed with them back and fourth and they have incredible customer service. I highly recommend

We got the stone from MoissyCo and had a jeweler I found off IG out of NYC set the stone in a custom setting. I heard some hit and misses from the settings from MoissyCo. My ring is more than I could have ever hoped for. The stone is amazing and the setting is fantastic. I have had my ring a little over a year now. Good luck!

oranges :  I will have to disagree.  I think their OEC’s are hideous, probably the ugliest I have seen, in Moissanite.

Here is a link to their OEC.

This is what an OEC should look like

I also question the expertise of a company who doesn’t know the difference.

Just my opinion.

msdenise123 :  appreciate the videos! I may have been caught up in just hearing “OEC” and not being too aware of what a proper OEC should look like, so thank you for shedding some light!

We’re looking at Brilliant Earth for my ring. Not sure where you live but BE does have showrooms around the United States (https://www.brilliantearth.com/our-showrooms/) where you can schedule an appointment and try on the rings. We’ll be going later this month and when I scheduled my appointment, I advised them of what styles I like from the website/that I am specifically looking for moissanite and they assured me that it won’t be a problem to have these ready for me to try on.

Hello! At the end of the Summer, MoCo will be releasing their new H&A moissanite. I was fortunate to see it and it is absolutely gorgeous. I prefer it over the F1 H&A which I saw at a jewelrer. For my Engagement Ring, we are planning on using a jeweler in NYC.
