Hello fellow Bees,
I received my “wedding set” last week from MoissaniteCo.com. I can’t say that I’m thrilled, but hopefully I will be with my exchange.
The current set that I have is the “wed455” in white gold, with a 6.5mm (1ct. equivalent) center stone. I have to say the bands are a lot thinner than I imagined, and the center stone itself is warm, so to say.
Needless to say, I’m exchaging it for a set with a larger band and a forever brilliant center in 7mm, since they are out of Amora’s in reasonable sizes.
I won’t even begin to talk about the issue I had with exchanging this set… That will be another story for another day. Just be advised, if you plan on getting anything from MoissaniteCo.com, don’t take the tags off, and don’t have fingers larger than size 8.0.
Sorry for such large photos!

I am sorry you didn’t know about the “removing tags” and “custom sizing” rules before purchasing… that’s such a bummer! For what it’s worth, I think it is a really pretty set! But believe me, I understand about feeling the bands are too thin. I reset my moissanite stone to a ring with a band that was a bit wider last April, even though everyone else thought it was just fine before. I hope you’re able to resolve the problem!

Sorry you are not happy with the set you got, but I am glad you are getting an exchange.
They do make the rules very clear about the tags and the sizing, I guess it is like anything else, you gotta read the fine print!

@MrsOliveBird: Yes, this is true. Their rules for refunds are very clear. Had I been asking for a refund and not an exchange, I would have no choice but to abide by their guidelines. Maybe they will be more specific with their refund and exchange rules going forward.
I’m sure I would have been happy with the set I received had I known the specifications of the original set, but since I was not the purchaser, I did not know. I have made the effort to inquire about the new set I’m getting, so there will not be any regrets in the future. Upon talking to customer service, I was originally opting for a cushion cut, but was advised that a round stone would be a better option color wise.
I can only cross my fingers and hope I get something this next time around.

@dondiva: You may already know about this forum, but I will recommend it anyway on the off chance that you do not! http://betterthandiamond.com/discussion/ubbthreads.php
There are many real life photographs of moissaniteco rings and friendly discussion in the moissanite section and the Amora section. I referred to that forum a lot when I was purchasing all three of my moissyco rings.
