Holy cow WHAT was that “music”???? That was pretty scary haha. I didn’t know anything about Moissanite before WB and it looks like such a great option! Super pretty and firey. I did think the video was a little misleading though because the moiss was being compared against a H VS2 diamond, which is pretty low quality.

I was torn between CZ, white sapphire, or moissanite at first, even looking into “fancy” CZ like diamond nexus labs and the like, but the fact that I would pay so much for a CZ or something that wasn’t even close to the durability and sparkle of moissanite was too much for me.

I’m not engaged yet, but future fiance knows to get a mossanite.  And boy is he happy about it! When we first started talking about rings, I asked him, “ballpark figure, how much do you think is the average engagement ring?” “ummm, I don’t know, $500?” after I told him how much diamonds cost he was FLOORED.  Then I told him about moissanite, and he was so grateful that I didn’t want to spend the money that could buy a CAR on something that just sits on my hand and sparkles.  Yay moissanite!

PS this is my dream ring <3 [attachment=888717,110458]

I love my moissanite!  It is set in palladium, which I also love.  It’s a beautiful, durable (and sparkly) stone and I’m very happy with it (and the price).  Here are some pictures:

@mara86: That is so beautiful! Do you mind me asking how big it is? I’m looking at a 1-1.5 ct, moissanite and can’t decide.

@concretengrace: Thanks!  It’s a 1.5 carat moissanite, and I wear a size 7.5.  Hope that helps!

Hey ladies! This topic the reason that I created an account lol. Your pictures and videos are great, and I absolutely LOVE how helpful everyone is ;).

I am still torn between asha and moissy…but I created a wishlist (smh) and I REALLY like these moissy rings. I should note that with the exeption of the first pair of pics which come w/ a cushion cut, I would want the cut to be square brilliant, even if the pic shows it as a different cut. I’m a size 5.25…I priced them for palldadium with a 2.2ct/7mm stone. Big for my skinny, long digits, I know, but I like big and I’m the one who has to stare at it for the rest of my days lol!

This first pair of pics is the ring alone and the set. I will be getting a bridal set regardless of which ring I choose.

Second pair, ring and set:

Third, ring and set:

Fourth:

Fifth (finally lol):

They range from 2K to 2360, so the price difference isn’t really a big deal. Any and all opinions about these rings, especially if you have any of the above styles specifically, will be much appreciated!

And to all of you who didn’t read my words but just looked at the ring porn, that’s okay too Wink!

here’s my new moissanite stone!!  it’s a 1.5 round enhanced moissanite on my diamond band. We had it set @ our jeweler and they had no problem working with it. I <3 it, and LOVE that we didnt spend thousands on it! Innocent

Wow! Moissanite sounds really interesting! What is “asha,” though? By the way, I love the ring on the dinosaur! How pretty the t-rex looks in her bling! Cute! 😉

My boyfriend and I are also going with moissanite for ethical reasons. I’ve seen them in person and they are sooooo shiny!!!! They sparkle way more than diamonds and the name is catchy too!

After talking with a friend about moissanite vs diamonds, I was curious- can anyone tell the difference?

@MissBuffalo From what I understand you can only tell the difference if you look closely (ie: microscopic). Moissanite is more sparkly than a diamond and is pretty much flawless. Plus the price tag is significatly less! It’s an option I am looking into for my ring.

I love my moissanite! It is a 1.5ct enhanced moissanite from moissaniteco.com! I wrote a full review in my own post, but I’d like to say again that it is beautiful!!

Here are some videos I took:

Sparkling indoors

Beautiful fire

Outdoors on a cloudy day – The stone still shows no color to my eye even in poor weather. Admittedly, the stone lacks life on cloudy days, but a diamond would not be able to reflect light that is not there either.

Sparkling in my office – My camera has trouble capturing the sparkle but the stone looks gorgeous under my office’s lighting for some reason!

This video is out of focus, but it shows more accurately what the sparkling looks like in my office.
