You didn’t mention if you actually like the H&A cut more than the cut you have? Don’t base your decision on what other people are liking, make sure you like it too! There are tons of pictures and videos to compare with. I think the easiest thing would be to order a new stone and have a local jeweler switch it out.

Option number one, there actually is a difference between the two cuts, so keep it if you’re happy with what you have, but I thought I’d mention that they don’t actually look the same.

Option four, I’m not a fan of at all. That doesn’t benefit anyone and it’s not really fair to your fiance, unless he’s okay with that.

There are tons of threads about H&A stones here. Check them out. Good luck!

First, what would your Fiance think about any changes?  If that is not a problem, carry on.

Option 2 – only your jeweler can really tell you if a 1.25 can be put into the opening currently holding the 1.5.  Depth of the stones, the actual head of the ring, all these are factors and I sure wouldn’t purchase untiil you have that info.

Option 3 is easy but only if you want another 1.5.

Option 4 – never wearing the first ring seems, sad? wasteful?  If your Fiance has no care about it, fine but at least sell it to cover some of the costs maybe?  Or sell the center stone, and then replace that with a colored gemstone!

You are not crazy.  Many gals like to change after the fact.  Sometimes you can’t know if, say, a particular size stone is too much until you’ve lived in a while.

Don’t overthink it you will drive yourself crazy 😆 No one can tell you what the right decision is for you.

If you are going to buy another one though I think making a pendant out of the first is a nice idea. Maybe for a special occasion or something? You could even make it into a pendant to gift someone else for a special occasion. Like a  Mother’s Day gift for a lady in your life. Mom, gma, Mother-In-Law , ya know?

dw4518 :  Here’s the major difference. H&A is very diamond like, but you sacrifice the fire. The F1 already sacrifices fire, but the H&A REALLY does. Part of what makes a moissanite unique is the fire, those huge disco ball flashes. I did get a H&A but definitely plan to get an unenhanced. They’re gorgeous. Whether you need to upgrade to H&A ENTIRELY depends on what you like your ring to look like under lighting. Both are well cut.

How about selling the F1 and getting the H&A, lots of sites to sell on like Diamond Bistro, Loupe Troop, eBay… put that money towards the H&A so you’re not “wasting” as much on the new stone?  Shouldn’t be much difference in setting a 1.25 or another 1.5 in your setting, “hassle” wise for the jeweler (assuming the 1.25 fits in your setting without adjustments)

dw4518 :  Have you looked on MoissaniteCo’s instagram?  They are both beautiful stones and they show many different stones with the F1 and H&A.

dw4518 :  Here are two videos that may help you.

The first one is a 2 carat H&A, and the second is a plain forever one. Almost identical except that I think the F1 is more sparkly. F1s are well cut, they just don’t have as defined arrows the way the H&A does to represent the similarity of an ideal cut diamond.

dw4518 :  FB is still enhanced. Unenhanced is the Forever Classic line.

dw4518 :  there’s definitely a difference in the cut but it’s minor to the untrained eye. If you love sparkle then sparkle is sparkle is sparkle! Can’t wait to see your OEC moissy! 😍
