First of all, sorry if you’re sick of these kinds of threads – I am relatively new here (posting-wise, anyway. I’ve been stalking around looking at all of your gorgeous rings and the like). I just recently stumbled upon Moissanite — mostly by accident on Craigslist — and was thrilled at the idea. I love the ethical standpoint and the fact that it’s super sparkly, because like any girl, sparkles are my thing! Of course, because of the lesser price, I can get my “dream ring” for much less — it’s in our budget now!
However, Since Amora isn’t available yet, I decided on the FB 1.4c cushion cut petite diamond and moissanite halo (951a) from MoissaniteCo:
I did email with a question about Amora’s availability, but didn’t receive a response. That was a few days ago — but I don’t want to blame them, since maybe they’re overloaded with those questions and maybe the response got filtered out into my junk mail…
I love love love love love it, went out and tried on similar halo designs at local jewelers, and finally, SO told me: “Order it!” I am SO excited! HOWEVER — I am so confused. I see so many positive reviews from experiences with MoissaniteCo. purchases, but then the few negative pieces of feedback have got me shaking in my boots. I’ve tried looking on other threads regarding experiences, and I’m a little upset because those who have had a bad experience seem to absolutely flame about it. I hear “Oh, they make up names on boards,” “They filter bad commentary out,” “They have horrible customer service.” Those who have had good experiences are raving about them, too — and I can’t understand how they could be that horrible if so many people have amazing experiences with them. Ugh. But I don’t want to be naive about this, trusting a company, and then being screwed in the end.. Oh lordy, who to trust?!
1. No phone number listed.
2. The issue of people who call C&C and get feedback about Moissanite Co. along the lines of them receiving many complaints daily about them, the refusal to honor warranty, etc.
3. Receiving a dud.
From what I’ve gathered, those who have good experiences LOVE the company. Those who haven’t, HATE it. I’m almost in tears of frustration because I’m dying for this ring, and finally he’s ready to purchase it, and I’m having second thoughts. Murphy’s Law applies to me in the sense that everything goes wrong for me. I feel like a magnet for bad luck. I haven’t talked to them personally, but SO wants to order tonight. HELP!
Without this turning into a flame-fest, can I have some honest opinions about recent purchases? I’m so scared to order and be dissapointed. Should I order elsewhere? Maybe I just need some votes of confidence to help me make this leap of ordering-over-the-internet faith. I’m new to a lot of this and could use some seasoned ladies’ opinions!
