@gollygeeitsamy:  I’m in Charlotte, NC and I have a 6mm moissy that I LOVE!  I wasn’t able to see my stone in person, but the jeweler who ordered it for me basically told me if I didn’t like it, he could send it back as a loose stone.  You can also order a loose stone from MoissaniteCo and see if you like it, I believe they have a 30 day return policy.

@housebee: I am also in Charlotte. Would you mind telling me which jeweler ordered your stone for you? Also did that jeweler set the stone for you?

I’m in Charlotte too and would LOVE to know who that jeweler is as well! I have researched for what seems like DECADES, and it just couldn’t seem any clearer to me that moissanite is the right choice. It’s ethically created, just as beautiful as a diamond, and we’ll get the most bang for our buck.

My boyfriend is not convinced, however. He’s reluctant to buy something so important online, and I’m pretty sure he’s having a lot of fun shopping in the stores. I want this process to be just as fun and exciting for him as it is for me, and if walking out of a store with that box is going to make it special for him, then I’d’ like to make that happen. The problem is that I can’t find any info online as to which jewelers in the area carry moissanite, and I have no desire to walk into any shops and ask (Queue snooty “diamonds only” jeweler eye roll, no thanks).

Anyone know where we can find this elusive jeweler who sells without judgement? 🙂

Commenting to follow as well! I’m in Annapolis, Maryland so if anyone knows of a retail store up here please share!
