(Closed) Moissanite in the UK?

I’ve not seen any here, my jeweller knows about them but they either not popular or just not well marketed. 

We ordered the stone for my future e-ring from Israel and paid VAT on it only when it came through customs. It came via Hong Kong with FedEx and was fully insured. The company we bought from paid the shipping cost. If you import a piece of jewellery you pay an import duty as well as VAT. Our experience was actually pretty good so I would keep your mind open about maybe ordering from abroad.

Oh and also if you were to return your purchase you can claim the VAT back 🙂

@GIJen:  yeah that’s understandable… I thought I wanted a yellow diamond but they’re not all that popular over here! I saw 1 in real life and felt that was enough to commit 😉 you could try emailing independent or specialist jewellers near you or in the nearest big city? i find the independents don’t put all their stock on their websites…
