Im sorry you were dissapointed. I wasnt exactly thrilled when i saw mine and i got the forever brilliant. But give it a few days and different lighting. Maybe get enhanced instead. It does have great sparkle. What i hate about it is that in jeweler lighting it shines yellowish green. Its def NOT a diamond. Give it time but if your truly not happy than exchange it.

@Krissytem:  I wonder if it could be the bezel setting? Sometimes those prevent light from entering the ring and giving off that sparkly glow. Just a guess.

That’s what happened to me. I read so many amazing, over the moon reviews here that I thought it was going to blow me away and it really didn’t. I ended up sending it back and we are now looking for diamonds. I realized I wanted a diamond in the end anyway. The thing I hated most was how it looked hollow and shallow in certain light, like outside. I got an amora so it was probably whiter than yours, but still looked green/yellow in certain lights and it just wasn’t for me. Give it a few days and if you don’t love it, return it. You should be totally in love with your engagement ring!

@Krissytem: Was your intention to have a “fake” diamond? If you actually like moissanite stones, then I think the ring looks fine. If you want it to look like a diamond, then I will agree with you that it does not. It does look quite grey. I have a D flawless diamond and it looks the same in every light and in every kind of weather.

Moissanites are not diamonds and if you were expecting it to look like one, I’d exchange it as you will never be happy. It’s a personal preference. For example, I love sapphires and dislike rubies. They are all different stones and anyone who knows anything about quality diamonds knows that there is no comparison! But some people like other stones better than diamonds, so it’s all a personal preference. I initially wanted a sapphire engagement ring but Fiance didn’t go for it, lol.

This is a case in which you probably should have ordered a loose stone first to see if you liked it.  I would email moissco and see if maybe you can exchange the center for an Amora (if one is available in your size) or FB.

According to their return policy they do make exceptions on larger or smaller ring sizes being returned.  I would sleep on it for a couple of days and then contact them if you are truly unhappy with the ring.  Since it is a solitaire setting, they should have no problem taking it back because it can be resized later (unlike an intricate pave setting).

I hope everything works out!

If your first reaction was “meh”, you should just look into returning it. You should love your stone in all types of lighting. Sorry you didn’t love it!

I think it is ABSOLUTELY beautiful! It is an antique style ring and true antique rings usually didn’t have bright white gleaming stones in them anyway. What size is it?

I wear a 9. Comes in handy when I’m shucking corn, I guess…lol.

I think your ring is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

Regardless of stone, though, I think you should love your ring. Honestly, if you showed me that picture I would never have thought “oh gee I wonder if that’s a diamond or some crappy stone!?” either. Maybe it’s just me, but it just looks like a very pretty vintage setting. 🙂

If I had any space cash at all I would buy it off you haha. The Paloma is one of my favorite antique settings on MoissaniteCo, I have been not to subtly hinting to Fiance that I would love it as a RHR for an anniversary. Most people say their least favorite lighting for Moissanite is when it’s overcast (It’s personally my favorite) I’d wait until the weather is better and then see if you are still dissapointed.
