chelseaadarlingg :  rusty15 :  Thanks! That ring is from JulianStudio. They are overseas, but the seller was great to work with, and the ring came out beautifully! My engagement ring (below) is a white sapphire from RareEarth — she makes a lot of moissanite and other gemstone rings too — and she’s based in my backyard in northern California. The prices are more expensive than JulianStudio though.

By The Way, I just peeked at the Esdomera shop you linked – very pretty items – but I can’t help but giggle at their shop tagline “Your First Choice of Affordable Decent Jewelry” 😉

ellyd23 :  Ok thanks! I’ll check them out. I know I’ve heard of Rare Earth before, but since I’m looking on the CHEAP, the other will probably be more worth a look. I agree the Tagline for Esdomera is kinda funny, but I’m hoping that’s just a language barrier thing. Reading their info, it’s like 95% perfect, but you can tell English is not their first language.

almostmrsmj :  Could I just ask what size you are? I’m wrestling between getting that exact same ring or the 9x7mm one from Dupuy! It’s great to hear you’ve had a good experiencewith them.

In regards to the pricing, it is definitely cheaper on Etsy compared to Moissanite.com but there is still quite a mark up on that website and I assume most others as well. My father is a jeweler and I will be lucky enough to get mine at wholesale cost through him. The 6.5mm Forever One in a gorgeous halo setting, set with all real diamonds is totaling $815.00. So you can see how much they mark them up. Still a great deal when compared to a real diamond. So I’m guessing that’s why you’re seeing such great prices on Etsy. The jeweler will still be making a profit.

I cannot speak to the validity to their stones being genuine or anything but that is why you’re seeing the slightly less expensive price tag. I am thinking of getting my bands on Etsy because I want multiple dainty and varying bands to stack and I’ve seen more that offer the look I’m going for.

illyana :  the ring is a size 6 but it’s a little big on me. I think my finger may be closer to a 5.5 but not a huge difference anyway 🙂 I couldn’t be happier with buying from Dupuy, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed 🙂 make sure to post pics when you get your ring!

J Hollywood and IDJEWELY are both great. J Hollywood offers one or two other brands that seem to be better cut than CC. I got to see a large number of CC moissy and the cut varies wildly in quality from stone to stone.
