So long story short:
Me and my fiancé are a little tight on money so I have to make a choice between a 2ct un-enhanced solitaire or a 1.5ct enhanced solitaire. I just wanted your opinions.
also I have very large hands (size 9.5) so I wanted to go bigger for that reason, and I would not mind slight yellow tone in bad light I just do not want a stone that is yellow toned all the time.

i’d definitely go with the 1.5ct enhanced. i have a 1.5ct enhanced, and it is super white about 90% of the time. the larger you go, the more body color they show, so i think a 2ct unenhanced would be disappointing to you! since you said you have larger fingers, maybe think about getting a thinner band to really accentuate the stone? 🙂 or just wait and save up some money to go for the enhanced 2ct.
just for fun, here’s a picture of mine! my stone is 1.5ct and the band width is 1.8mm and my ring size is 5.

@Marylove_xo: i voted 1.5 unenhanced only because everyone says the larger stones show more color. I loved the unenhanced moissy I saw at the jewelers but the Fiance got a great deal on a FB stone. If you’re buying from moissaniteco check their sales page!

I have slightly over 2ct enhanced and the body colour shows up at the oddest times. I don’t think I would like my stone if it was unenhanced at that size. Go with 1.5ct enhanced. The difference in size will not be as prominent as the colour.

@Marylove_xo: Definitely enhanced if it’s over a carat, they say — so I think a 1.5 enhanced would far outshine the 2 carat unenhanced in terms of quality and brilliance, and it’ll help to keep it as white as possible. =] He just ordered my 1.5 FB. =]

I’m am SUPER color sensitive so I would notice any hint of color at all. I had an amora 1.1ct cushion that I noticed the color in every once in a while and it really bothered me. For me, I would prefer the enhanced, even if you go with a smaller size, because I don’t want to see any colors. Plus I’ve heard that the higher you go, the more color it is. I have a 2ct enhanced and am SO happy with it!
