Totally normal! I have the same size and cut moissinate and I personally love how white and crisp it looks in some lights (yet sparkly with rainbows in other lights.)

Here is my ring in different lighting for reference!

I do think it’s normal (and I also know it might not be everyone’s cup of tea too… though I really hope that you’re able to love your ring without regret!) The way I think of it/describe it is that my ring “glows white” when it’s overcast and then is super sparkly and clear in the sun/under bright lights. For me, I like how it looks, but that’s just me! Here is a comparison:

Just as an FYI, diamonds are like that too, so it is what it is. I have a diamond with great specs and in office light it looks like how you describe yours, but in other lights it sparkles and rainbows like crazy.

Moissanite and diamonds are both like this. As someone who has both, I can testify. They just sparkly differently in different lights. That’s completely normal.

I think that moissanite is a little more dependent on light than diamond, only because of the color; moissy is a beautiful but moody stone. But no stone is going to look its best on a cloudy overcast day. You’re basically wearing a bunch of tiny mirrors in your hand. Mirrors need light to work properly.

I have a diamond, a white sapphire & a moissanite. I find that although they all glow & sparkle differently they all look a bit dull in certain lighting.

Mine does it! Notice how white & just kinda meh is it in the picture where I don’t have my wrap on. That was in like, cloudy, cold day with my windows open. The first pic was in the car in the sun, & the middle was in my bathroom with really crappy lighting & it goes like steel grey. So weird! I personally like how moody they are. Never know what I’m gonna get!

lol in my above comment, I clearly meant with my blinds open, not my windows. *face palm*

I have a diamond radiant, E color, good cut and it too will look a little flat in certain lights especially if it’s not clean. After a thorough cleaning at the Jewelers it sparkles like crazy. Try using a sunshine cloth on your moissy. You never know if the dull will buff away even better! I use a dental gel on my moissies and that definitely gets any gunk off and back to sparkling 😊

From what I’ve gathered creeping the boards for ever (lol) pretty much everyone’s ring looks at its worst under flat white office lighting. So try not to stress about it, I’m sure your ring is GORGEOUS.
