Never purchase froim MoisaniteCO. What a waste of money it was. Had the durability of gravel. Had the stones replace on 2 occasions in 2 years and would have been a third but it was just foolishness at that point. Replacement cost? $25/stone. Really goes to show the value of the ring…

billarsenault : Were the stones small, as in less than 3 mm?

My Fiance just proposed with a FB moissy ring from moissaniteco a few weeks ago and I love it! I wear a size 6.5 and the center stone is a 1ct equivalent with .25ct side stones. Fiance didn’t seem super impressed with moissaniteco’s customer service, but he’s used to ordering car parts from a specific company and getting them the next day lol. He said it took about 2 weeks from ordering to delivery. (Every time I messaged them before they responded quickly and were helpful)

I have had a few pieces from Moissanite Co, and this is my most recent RHR which was an insurance replacement for a lost ring. This is their model thr216 in 18k yellow gold, and with some little tweaks. It has 4H silicon carbide (like Forever One) H&A cut stones. Centre is 7.5mm, sides are 6mm. In the past I have always got OEC cut moissanites as I did not like the old traditional modern round brilliant cut moissanites (and I tend to prefer old cuts), but I am very happy with these stones. They are super sparkly, white (these particular stones are about an H). The setting is gorgeous. Customer service was great as I worked through my replacement, I have always had great service from them though.

amanda1auren : That is crazy beautiful and so unique. Plus suits your hand so nicely!! I am thinking of going moissy instead of diamond for similar reasons, and I’m glad to know that no one questions it. I know it’s a little silly, but I just kind of hope people assume it’s a diamond..!
Also, had been thinking of going with Brilliant Earth, but just discovered Rosado’s Box yesterday – thanks for the rec!

My 8mm was purchased through a local jeweler. The side stones and my wedding band are diamonds.

billarsenault, my jeweler told me that the smaller Charles & Colvard Moissanite has thin girdles. That could be why they were damaged.

@cassandrafoulk Sorry for slow reply! Spent the weekend being newly engaged. 🙂 The entire thing — ring and setting — was bought as one piece from JulianStudio on Etsy. Not sure if I can link in there. JulianStudio doesn’t actually advertise a 8×10 oval, but I asked for one and she ran the price past me ahead of time and made it work. I’m pretty sure all her advertised sort of “default” rings use the Classic moissanite, but that she would easily be able to get you one of the higher “class” of moissanites for you (I’m not sure how it’d be possible to make this stone look more white but whatever!). 🙂 But, yes, it’s one set thing all together.

I don’t have the exact center stone that you want, but I can tell you that my Fiance purchased my e-ring and wedding band as a set from MoissaniteCo.com. They were really easy to work with and have great prices. Good luck!

I just got a FB moissanite. It’s a 7mm (1.8 equivalent) cushion cut. I just love it so much. It is very white but has flashes of color.
