With so much discussion about the differences (pros and cons) between Moissantie stones and Diamonds, I thought some might like to see this picture. It shows a Moissanite center stone surrounded by a halo of diamonds.
This is not my ring but I found it really interesting to see the side by side comparison. My Fiance and I chose to purchase a diamond engagement and wedding ring.

I have a moissy with diamond halo. Mine isn’t that different. Not all stones are created equal.

That first post looks rather blue, hmm. Could it be a reflection/lighting or colored moissanite?
Here’s my moissanite + diamonds.

puppiesandlattes : Just Beautiful!!! – yours seems to pick up the gold from your yellow gold band while
musicluvr325 : ring picks up the white gold tone! Maybe the one I found a picture of has a gray tinted center stone.
Thank you ladies for sharing your beauties!!

BEEelegant : The original image is from Style Estate on pinterest and says the following, “Featuring a natural grey moissanite center, which changes from a deep, moody grey in some lighting (see previous post), to a more blue-teal in other lighting.” So I wouldn’t really say this is a good representation of a moissanite center next to a diamond halo.
When I got my FB moissanite, my jeweler recommended J colored diamonds in my double halo. I think it’s a perfect compliment. Now with F1s, though, I think people could probably go with F-H, depending.

BEEelegant : I think its just what the moissanite is reflecting. I know for a fact that in some pictures it’s hard to tell the difference. Here’s another picture:

BEEelegant : Thank you! It’s a rose gold setting but for some reason looks yellow in most pictures. (MoissyCo’s rose gold is not at all brassy though *shrug*)

My sister and I got very similar e-rings. (We and our FIs all have very similar tastes! Haha.) Mine is all moissys, and hers is all diamonds. Here they are side-by-side (mine is on the left, and hers is on the right):

THe pic isn’t that clear but mine is an F1 moissy from Charles & Colvard so it’s pretty white but my diamonds in the halo/down the sides are teeny! So you can’t see much difference in mine. I was really considering a bubble or bubble and breath band so I wonder how that would look? 🤔

Mine is in a rose gold setting from Rosado’s Box. I fell in love with it years before getting engaged was even a reality. It has a lot of color, but I love that about it.

My setting is all diamonds, and my halo is bigger than most. I have a 1.25 rb fb. And my band is cz from berricle.

BEEelegant : I follow the original jeweler who made this ring. It’s a grey moissanite set in rose gold. That’s why so dark. My grey moissy looks like this too in direct light.
