@joya_aspera:  If you really think those rhinestones look anything like moissanite than I can see why you don’t seem like moissy. Gosh, those things were dreadful.

@Kat:  Your moissy def looks like it has more depth in that particular picture.  Both are very nice rings!

Mine is a 1.10ct Cushion Cut Moissy

It goes a lightly green under house lighting

but in the sun or directly under a light

it rainbow sparkles like crazy! I just need some scottish

sun to get some pics of the bling!

I have a 1.5 unenhanced Moissy ring and I LOVE IT! It provides everything that I wanted for my engagement ring. My fiance picked it out, it didn’t break his wallet. It is big and pretty and very sparkly. It is also durable.

After saying all of that I will say that I can somewhat notice the difference between it and a diamond. I am not even really into jewelery, but I can see it when I look at others rings compared to mine. So if someone has the goal of “passing it off” they might be embarrassed. I don’t tell everyone that it is a Moissy, however if they ask or if I want to share about it I do.

The differences that I see are these:

1. Moissys have a clear bright look to them. They don’t look as “weighty” for lack of a better word as a diamond. This is more apparent in really bright light. I like that, but some people might not.

2. As far as cloudiness and yellowing goes, the only time that I really see it is when I look at if from the side, but never dead on. The lighting does play a real factor in this. But the only time that I notice this is when I am in my car with black interior.

Even still I am very happy with our choice of Moissanite. Everytime someone looks at my ring they say, “Wow that’s gorgeous” or “It’s so big!” or “He did good!”. So I’m happy. My main goal was to never hear the word “cute”, so far mission accomplished. Laughing
