- Wedding: September 2015
Hello everyone! This is my second post on the bee, as I have been so busy lately. But the wedding is getting closer (well 9 months) but I know it will go by fast. So I felt like it is appropriate to hop back on the Bee train. Bear with me, this is going to be a little lengthy- Let me just put this out here: I am a very picky, and anal person. My first post was me trying to decide between two different MoissyCo engagement rings. After 6 months of waiting and whining to my fiance, I finally chose and he purchased the eng742. There weren’t many “real life” photos of it, but from what I saw it was a very pretty cathedral style, antique looking ring. Detailed with milligrain and scroll work. My dream ring. Or so I thought. We ordered it in 14k white gold with a 1.1carat forever brilliant cushion cut stone. When the FH slipped it on my finger, I was blown away. From far away it was breath taking and so sparkly/shiny. After a couple days of wearing it when I finally got a chance to just inspect it, I notcied some things that probably wouldn’t bug the average person, but drove me nuts. #1) There was a chip in the gold underneath the gems where my skin touches the ring. Almost like it was notched out by accident when drilling the holes for the ring. #2) The milligrain wasn’t really even. This isn’t really a huge issue as I know they are hand made, but I didn’t realize it would bother me so much. #3) After brining it to a jewler to inspect the chip he informed me that some of the prongs were crooked. You couldn’t tell unless you looked at it under magnification, but the idea of it bothered me. The jeweler said he’d have to take the stones out and rework the metal to get the chip out. It was going to cost some change and I felt that seeing as I had only got it a few days before, I should contact MoissyCo and see what they could do. I will start by saying, Chris was amazing at answereing all of my questions and concerns. At first I was just planning on sending it in to get looked at and fixed. But thinking about it more and more I wanted to exchange it for something a little more simple, but still unique. Something that was a little more common, so there were more “real life” photos I could examine. I asked Chris if this was possible even though I had obviously taken the security tag off my original one. He said they don’t usually allow it but to take a look at what the have and he will see what he could do. I told him I wanted the Eng949b (Abigail setting) with the 1.1c FB cushion cut center stone, but in Palldium instead of the white gold. I chose this one for all of the reasons listed above. He didn’t even argue, he just said to let him know when I shipped the old one back and they’ll get started on my new one right away. And that’s what they did. As soon as I gave them a tracking number my account was updated to put the new one in production, and they kept it updated it ever step of the way. It took about two weeks to return the old and receive the new. But oh gosh, was it worth the wait. My new ring is flawless. Literally. And that’s saying ALOT coming from me. I am so in love with my new ring, and I couldn’t be happier. I just had to send an email to MoissyCo thanking them: “I just wanted to take a moment to say Thank You to Chris and any other MoissaniteCO employee’s that made sure I was more than happy with my ring. After wanting to exchange my original engagement ring after a week of having it because of a small defect, and me not being happy in general with it; even without the security tag, you guys made it happen. Chris was so helpful and communicated with me every step of the way and answered all of my neurotic questions. I just received my new (eng949b) engagement ring and let me tell you, I am ecstatic! It is absolutely beautiful, and I couldn’t be happier. Though I hate this trait, I am clearly a very ocd/anal person and I could not find a flaw on this ring. The craftsmanship is wonderful, and I am just so grateful for having MoissaniteCo make my dream ring a reality, no matter the set back. I will be purchasing our wedding bands from here, and will be referring many friends. Amazing customer service, and an amazing ring-I couldn’t ask for more. Though you already know what it looks like, I wanted to share a photo of it on my hand. It’s just so perfect. Thank you so much, Lilly” So all and all even though there was a set back, I am more than happy with my ring and my experience with MoissaniteCo. I would highly recommend them even if your as picky as me. Though remebember: being picky does not mean inpatient or rude. As with anything in life, treat as you would like to be treated. Also patience is definitely a vertue. Thanks for reading!
