Jhollywood prefers the NEO pear over the C&C. Kristin Coffin prefers the Supernova Pear over the C&C. So, you are on the right track with not choosing C&C for a pear.

I slightly prefer the Supernova over the NEO in the pear. But, I’d ask your maker which has the less obvious bowtie and cut closest to a diamond. Maybe which has less fire than your main stone, so they don’t out-shine it?

I’m not sure of your setting, but my main stone is ~8.5 mm (OEC Amora Gem) and side stones are ~4.5 mm each (diamond OECs). You honestly need a loop to really see the side stones in any detail. So, I don’t think you can go wrong with either.

mallorinicole :  I think the trick will be to most closely match the color of the Forever Brillaint, which has a warm tone. I’m not sure if either the NEO or Supernova are available in near colorless (G/H). Here is a FB next to a F1, to show the color difference. The NEO and Supernova look similar to the F1 in color.

If you need small pears, you might ask about diamonds. They are not horrible expensive. Retail they are about $250 each, but you maker should be able to get a better deal.

Here’s a video comparison from a jeweler:
