I ordered all three as loose stones to SEE the difference myself – Asha, Standard Moissy and Amora. Side by side, one can see the extra sparkle of the Moissys. Really quite beautiful, but not so much diamond-like as the Asha. The Asha is my favorite. It’s close, though! But my only concern about the Asha is that it MIGHT cloud one day. So I am faced with the same problem as everyone else, durability vs most diamond-like appearance.

This picture is a bit too blurry to see great detail, it was taken inside. But even in person, it was hard to always tell the difference. I posted my video to Youtube, in case you want to see more of these three. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHqf8JsYDSs Sooooooo I want to make my final decision soon – I welcome comments here or at Youtube. Thanks!

@dessert37:  So did you get your asha ring or have the asha set?

Cloudy cz is not a concern with asha?  It is that you can damage the coating if you are not caerful.  I clean myring once a week and it looks flawless daily.

I know this post is old, but I found these boards so helpful in my decision-making process so wanted to share my experience in case it helps any other bees out there!

First of all, I LOVE diamonds and have such an eye for detail to the point that my fiance was terrified about buying a ring.  As many of you can relate to, with the prices of diamonds – and my picky eye, we decided to opt for an alternative.

I read up on Asha and Moissanite but in the end was nervous about the colour of moissanite so we purchased a 6mm RB Asha from ashadiamonds.com in the Tiffany knife-edge setting.  I LOVE the ring!  It was stunning and took my breath away when he propsed.

Unfortunately, I do wear my ring daily (wash dishes with it, etc), and after 6 months it has become so cloudy.  We knew this would probably be the case, so I wasn’t surprised, just surprised it happened so soon.  Even with a good cleaning, it doesn’t quite look as it once did.

I just purchased a loose Charles & Covard Forever Brilliant 6mm moissanite to replace the Asha. I was skeptical about what it would look like and figured it would be terribly yellow.  It arrived today and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!  I always saw that other Bees wrote that, and it’s true!  Pictures do it no justice at all!  I’ve taken a few pictures to share with you all.

First pic shows the Asha from day 1 to 6 months later.  The second pic you see the Asha is on the left and the FB is on the right.  Third pic is the FB close up.

I’m going to get it set in my E-Ring next week and cannot wait!  I was nervous that it would be “too sparkly” – to the point that someone would think it’s fake.  Not at all, it simply looks perfect and not fake whatsoever!

I hope this helps anyone out there!

Elhcee:  As it’s been 4 months, I wanted to ask how your Asha is holding up? It’s beautiful!
