eisforlove :  not everyone who gets a moissy can’t afford a large diamond. That was rude and belittling. Some Bees just love moissy or want to put that extra money towards something else.

I live in a city where my rent is quadruple what other Bees pay in more affordable cities. But I choose to spend a pretty big chunk of my paycheck on my housing and live in a posh place. Other Bees may have as much if not more money than me but choose a “cheaper” (probably bigger) place to live. They probably have more expensive cars than I do, etc. Just cuz their place is cheaper doesn’t mean they couldn’t afford to live in my expensive city. Money can be allocated in many different  ways. I want a cheaper dress and better honeymoon. Etc.

Moissanite!!! the round cut moissantes look just like diamonds and have amazing sparkle! Nothing like czs! those are cheap. Moissanite really is the best alternative to diamonds and for a fraction of the cost ummm hell yeah! I got mine from raven fine jewelers, check out their shop! They make custom rings too and their prices are reasonable. Great quality and everything! Good luck!

I just “upgraded” (and kept) after 5 years  my $18k 1.5 carat (GIA F, excellent cut, vvs2)  tacori diamond ring to a 2 carat NEO oval moissanite ring in a platinum setting. I love it. It definitely looks fake in a few light settings, but 90% of the time, you can’t really tell the difference. All this bs around spending a ton on a sparkly stone. It’s not a good investment. And I really can’t understand the people on here that claim they can tell from a picture that it’s moissanite… I’ve done a lot of research and the best comment I found was from a woman whose husband had been unknowingly sold a moissanite as a diamond and she loved her “diamond” for ten years before she found out. Trust me, we could have easily afforded to upgrade to an equivalent diamond, but what a waste… I am and will always be value oriented

nikki8016 :  Sorry to disappoint but I can tell moissanite from photos. In some cases it’s easier than in person.
