I don’t have Moissy, but my center stone is an Asha (same company). I know you don’t see as many of those on here as Moissy’s, so I threw it in for reference. My side stones and Pave are diamonds. Had it set by the same jeweler MsYellowJacket did, lol.

Thanks for the pictures! =)

Here is an excellent thread. She has a diamond, moissanite, and asha all in one photo.
This thread has moissanite e-rings with diamond wedding bands.
Photo gallery of a moissanite and diamond side by side.
And this thread has Adabeta27’s mixed rings. She has diamond and moissanite in one setting. She has quite the collection.

Sorry it’s huge :/
.30 ct. leo diamond set
.33 ct enhanced moissy loose
I could see a bit more fire with the moissy, but in person, these two were identical, in clarity and brilliance–at this size, you’d never know…unless you knew.

Wow, it’s so beautiful! Very identical too.

omg that ring is breathtaking!!!

@lkr736: That’s exactly what I wanted to see! Thank you! 🙂 It’s easier to tell what they look like when they are the same shape and almost the same size, rather than different shapes and entirely different pieces.

Here’s another moissy vs diamond pic even though they are not the same size. Top ring is moissy. With a light shining directly on them, I can definitly see a ton of sparkle from the little moissanite. In normal room lighting, they look the same. I didn’t really notice any color difference, but the moissanite did seem more see through and lacked the appearance of depth that the diamond had. I think it’s apparent in @lkr736
photo also, the diamond has more dark spots in the center from the way the light is reflected (or not) giving it more depth. But if youre not trying to compare and look for a difference, you probably wouldnt notice it.

My engagement ring is a diamond nexus lab ring. they make the miss america crowns. I constantly get compliments on the sparkle and quality. No one knows its a conflict free simulate. This picture does not do it justice. I have compared next to natural diamonds and the naked eye can NOT tell the difference. This ring cost around 600 and is 1.38 in weight.

Idk about the majority of people out there, but SO & I live in a small midwestern town & I only know of one person who knows what moissanite is in this area, and nobody would ever know diamond from moissanite or asha. No way. Typically people can tell cheap from diamond because of the setting, which is why SO and I will be investing in a simply stunning diamond setting for our 3ct moissanite.
:] I don’t care what people think it is, but they will at least know it’s beautiful & that someone loves me veryyyy much!

Thank you. 🙂 Me too! Btw it’s only .5 carats.
Good for you. No one has questioned mine at least (though I would correct them if they were wrong) but that may be because mine is smaller. It’s pretty eye-catching though with the halo and whatnot, so I get a lot of random compliments.

(the last picture is the best as far as showing similarity. I live in the midwest and honestly, no one would ever get close enough to even realize its not diamond or would they question it, especially at this size…also..only in pictures are the differences this obvious. In person, they were nearly identical. We ended up having to return it, so I won’t have moissy in my ring that’s being made, but if things were different I would have kept it.)
