It’s great that they look the same, and yes diamond nexus stones do look very nice. The biggest problem that I personally have with them and their company is how shady they’ve been about what their product actually is. A few years ago they had a LOT of people convinced that it was a manmade diamond, or some sort of diamond-like hybrid, when in fact diamond nexus stones are CZs with extra chemicals thrown in.  As long as you know that, and are okay with that, then more power to you!

I have NOTHING against CZs whatsoever, in fact my Engagement Ring is one, but I don’t like how they try to decieve customers or lead them on to believe they are getting this amazing, revolutionary product when they are simply CZs.  That being said, you may not see a difference now, but CZs cloud over time because of reactions with oxygen in the air. Moissanites will not cloud.  I think that, the hardness, and the refraction index are the main differences between a diamond nexus stone and a moissanite.

I had a pair of diamond nexus earrings that I got for my birthday one year, and the stones kept on coming loose (I’m talking after 2 days of wear), and customer service reps wouldn’t return my emails or phone calls.  They gave me the run around.  Now, 4 years later, the stones are starting to get cloudy, despite being professionally cleaned, and are losing their sparkle.

This seems vthat fishy that a fairly new poster comes with this comparison that really shows nothing at all and is immediately followed eh by the vendor. Once again. DNL=epic fail/overpriced CZ.

@blingbling: I wondered about this too… seems odd

DNL is sketchy town and their product is horribly over priced for what it is … a CZ surrounded by fancy brick and mortar

@GoldfishPie: Agreed.

@ChickN: Yep. This post + the first response do seem odd.

And while both stones are beautiful, I could tell right away which one was the moissanite, but that’s probably because I’m a moissanite owner.

@CurlyGirl24: I’m sorry you feel like you were being attacked, and I certainly hope my post didn’t come across that way, because that’s absolutely not how I meant it.

I will say, though, that the reason it seemed a little fishy is that it has happened in the past with other vendors. A new member will post a positive review of something, and it turns out to be vendor spam, etc. That coupled with the fact that the DiamondNexus user only has one post and it’s commenting on your review just made it seem odd. I don’t think anyone was trying to personally attack you.

ETA: I’m glad to hear you went with moissanite. My e-ring is moissanite and it’s the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen 🙂

I would hardly call getting a reply by the same person on two threads “cyberstalking”. That’s an insult to people who actually HAVE been cyber-stalked in some way, which happens to be serious and incredibly scary. The only drama I see is the drama you’ve whipped up yourself.

Haha, cyberstalking because they posted on two of your threads? Both threads are showing up on the very top of the main boards page – it’s hardly “cyberstalking” to see both and comment on them. I especially notice if someone I’ve already seen on a thread posts something new because I’m already familiar with them.

See, the funny thing about message boards and how they work is that they are intended for responses.  A mostly unwarranted manifesto of “wah wah everyone is so mean” is usually not very well received.

The robot comment made me giggle though!

@CurlyGirl24: You posted a new thread, telling others how you felt slighted and how this was an unsupportive community, and didn’t want replies? You posted on a discussion board.

The topic ‘Moissanite vs. Diamond Nexus Labs’ is closed to new replies.
