afrat240 :  I’m really not surprised because moco’s reputation has gone downhill very quickly and I wouldn’t trust ordering anything from them. I would be very weary and make sure you check every speck of you’re ring to assure that it meets you’re standards.

Just be thankful it didn’t make it through QC. A lot of others haven’t been so lucky. You could ask for lots of pics and videos before it gets sent to you. Definitely have the melee checked though! While you’re at the Jewelers, it wouldn’t hurt to ask if they see any defects, loose prongs etc. You can never be too careful, especially with MoCo’s shady asses. Sorry you have to wait longer for it! That’s gotta be super frustrating!

Idk to me this sounds like they’re stepping up the QC. I love my ring from them and have had nothing but positive experiences. We’re actually just starting the customization on mine and FH’s rings and they’re very helpful.

afrat240 :  Consider yourself lucky that they’re actually doing quality control now! So many of us have received defective rings, I’d consider this as a step in the right direction. Way better than opening up your package all excited to be met with disappointment, then the hassle of returning for repairs and waiting forever to get it back!! Good luck and update us when you receive it. Which model did you order?

Curious, how do you plan to have the stones checked to make sure they are diamonds? I went to one jewelry store that has a diamond tester but it was very unreliable (showed known diamonds as moissanite) and another jewelry store said they just don’t use them. I’ve read that tester pens are generally pretty bad and not reliable when testing between moissy and diamond especially. Is there a foolproof way or were you planning to take it to a jeweler you trust and just ask them to look and make an assessment?

The “diamonds” are lab diamonds. You’re aware of that, right?

Unfortunately, due to the recent revelations of the company’s extremely unethical business practices, I would no longer recommend them. I hope your ring turns out as you wanted when it finally ships.

afrat240 :  Just to clarify, I’m not in any way bashing lab diamonds. As you are now probably aware, previously MoissaniteCo was caught selling lab diamonds instead of what were purported to be natural diamonds. After being publicly called out on it, they updated their website in what some found to be a suspiciously quick and convenient response to the furor that erupted.

Moco is not trustworthy and their quality is going downhill. If you receive something you like count yourself one of the lucky ones!
