Ridiculous, you should be getting shipping charges and then some. Hope you get your ring back soon!
Ridiculous, you should be getting shipping charges and then some. Hope you get your ring back soon!
So I just called FedEx and they said that the officer I spoke to (he isn’t at work yet) did all of the paperwork manually; a process he told me usually takes weeks was done by him last night! That guy is a godsend; he was so sweet about the entire situation and dealt with it himself, writing on the file that this needed to be corrected asap.
MCo kept telling me they didn’t need his info when I asked them to do the correct paperwork and send it to him. Even the FedEx employee I talked to said the quickness of this was pretty remarkable. If MCo refused to take his info (which the live chat kept doing until I just gave it to them anyways and said I would be following up with him) I would be stranded here for weeks without my ring.
It should hopefully arrive today. 🙂
I JUST paid MoissyCo a compliment on another thread about how they always make things right when there’s a problem. I retract that statement. I hope you get it back today and that it’s perfect!
MCo does have a habit of attacking/belittling customers. I wonder if this is a part of their selling strategy, or because they’ve just hidden behind keyboards this whole time, and can’t actually talk to people.
I think they’ve attacked and belittled unsatisfied customers because playing the victim has worked for them thus far. They always have supporters come out to defend them when someone has a bad experience. Just my opinion.
I’m beginning to see the side of receiving an apology. I am pretty hurt by all of this. And I feel bad asking for a refund or partial refund, but I do feel like it’s necessary in this case. MCo isn’t even talking anymore. I think this is hurting their public image a lot.
And if anything, I will let more potential buyers know on other forums that MCo may not be the best route to go about receiving moissanite jewelry. I just don’t want another customer going through what I’m going through right now.
And as for their supporters, I feel like they may not have many left, with the way their business is going 😛
Thia ia exactly why I would buy from BTD or Shubachs, or one of the other vendors who frequent the BTD BB. I might pay a smidge more, but I know I will get good service and honesty.
If the package was marked with the high value and was stolen (as many are when sent internationally, because you can’t pin the blame anywhere and it’s really difficult to get insurance payouts) wouldn’t you be even more pissed? They tried to get you the ring quickly while reducing the likelyhood that it is stolen or that you’d have to pay hundred extra in taxes. Admittedly, they tried to con the system, and it wasn’t for their benefit, but rather yours.
With MCo, since they set the value at $100, if it were to be lost, then I would only receive $100 in terms of insurance, which FedEx International Priority shipping gives for free, meaning MCo doesn’t have to pay for the extra insurance. When I shipped the ring to them, it cost me $111.25 to ship it. FedEx probably thought it was weird because why would I pay more than the cost of the ring to have it shipped to them, as when they called me, I was told the exact same thing.
And MCo states on their website they don’t set the value at $100 if it’s shipping to Canada. Probably because they know this will happen and don’t want to get caught.
