I’m so sorry!!!  That stinks.   I had almost the exact same experience with a band I ordered.  They wouldn’t refund me, wouldn’t exchange it.   I could only send it back at my expense so they could inspect it.  They wouldn’t even guarantee that it would be fixed.   I gave up and now it’s sitting in my jewelry box.  (And I’m still very bitter about it!)  I”ve had a couple of things from them and that was the first problem I had.

I’m pretty sure they won’t replace missing stones, by the way.  I remember reading that somewhere.   In all fairness though, I believe the owners are not doing the bench work.  Other people do that.  If I recall, they have more than one location in the US that actually makes the rings for them.  I think in my case, the ring was shoddy but they never even saw it before it shipped to me and couldn’t have known it was badly done.  I wasn’t impressed with their customer service at all.

I found it:

Warranty does not include the cost to replace missing or broken stones. If it is determined that damage has been done to the item (whether intentional or accidental) we will repair the item, but a fee will be charged including return shipping. Please note that under no condition will we reimburse for work performed by other jewelers. Furthermore, work performed by other jewelers voids our product warranty.

 

So you pay for any missing stones, AND return shipping.  But if you take it someone local, you void the warranty.  They kind of get you either way.  Undecided

I purchased a 1ct round solitaire in a normal tiffany setting. I haven’t noticed anything wrong with it, except that the 14k stamp on the inside is crooked, and barely noticable. I feel that this kind of makes the ring look cheap and I’m afraid for an actual jeweler to see it and think it IS cheap, did you notice this with your ring?

My husband and I purchased my engagement ring in May, 2011 from Moissanite Co. It was a beautiful ring – LOVE Moissanite! However, by July 4th one of the stones had fallen out. So, I spent 21.00 to send it back to be fixed. I felt grateful to have the ring fixed and get it back two weeks later. When I got it back I put it on my finger and then went to make dinner. Before I could boil water a different stone fell out. So I spent another 21.00 to send it back again. Once again thankful to have it fixed. After another 2 weeks I got it back and within one day of having it on my finger a different stone on the setting fell out. I had enough and was unable to call to voice my frustration. I could only e-mail/instant message a customer service representative. I was then told I could pick out another ring, and that it had never happened before – that I was just rough on my ring. So, I was the bad guy and was made to pick out a ring to replace the one I was married with. So I spent another 21.00 to send the ring back and told them what ring I wanted to exchange it for. Two weeks later, without warning, they charged my card for the difference in rings. I had just paid another bill so our bank charged us an additional fee. The company then claimed that I was lucky to have my ring fixed 3 times and that they would be willing to pay $20 for the bank. To say the least I am furious with their customer service. I pray nothing happens to this ring because I never want to talk to this company again!!!!

That’s weird. I was really hard on my ring (I must be the clumsiest person God ever made), but never had any problems at all with it. In fact, I was really surprised how above and beyond they went to make sure that I was happy, and to answer all my questions. And I had a TON of questions.

I personally had a great a great experience with them, and I’ve had my ring for 6 months. I am severaly rough on my rings, slam them into everything. Both my engagement ring and wedding band are both prong set, all the tiny stones are lined up properly and nothing is loose. Also my stamp on the inside of the ring is off to the side but deffintly not crooked. Also I just double checked and my main stone isn’t crooked at all. It kinds of sounds like a fluke ring 🙁 I am so sorry! For Darling Husband and I their customer service was great, when it was time to order my wedding band which we bought seperatly from the engagment ring, I had a few emails back and for with Chris, and he gave me all the information I needed. Althought I havent had to send anything back or deal with shipping, so I can’t give any input about that! I’m really sorry to hear about all the bad experiences, but like Miss Tattoo said I would deffintly go talk to the owners:-)

I guess theres always a few bad apples in the bunch but I think I still want a pink one =)

I had a very nice ring made for my birthday gift and already had 3 diamonds fall out… so it happens in all kinds of jewelry and all stores and stone types. I just took it to my jeweler today to have them send it out and get it fixed (yay for lifetime warranties!) lol
