@amallama:  I’ve been wondering the same thing! So glad you asked this question. We’re also looking into a palladium band. The sizer says I’m anywhere between a 6.75-7.25 depending on swelling lol.

my ring was definitely at least a half size big. i sent it in to be resized (which cost $50 plus shipping), and it is still too big. really frustrating. they won’t resize it for free because “they confirm that it is the size you ordered before shipping.”  i compared the ring that i ordered (supposed to be 5.75) to a ring i have for my right hand ring finger which is a 6.25 and the ring i ordered was much larger than the 6.25.  i don’t want to pay to have it resized again and deal with the stress of finding a local jeweler who works with moissy, so i’ve been wrapping string around my ring for the last 6 months. i really think their sizing is a serious issue.

you should definitely go with the 5.5. they do 1/4 sizes though if you’re really torn about it.

My experience: The 7.5 sizer was snug, and the 8 was floppy. he ordered a 7.5 over concerns about the ring falling off if I lost weight. the 7.5 is too big on its own, but is perfect with my wedding band. If I lose weight, it might become an issue.

I found the sizing to be spot on. I wear a six, ordered a six and it fits great! Don’t forget room for swelling.

@amallama:

I went to a jeweler and got sized first.  They will do it for you there.  Moissaniteco (at least when we ordered it) allows you to exchange the ring as long as you do not take the tags off of the rings when you get them.  Palladium, at least what i’ve been told, wouldn’t be able to be resized but I asked about the “speed bumps” and they told me a local jeweler would be able to add those in platinum to palladium with no problems.  Speed bumps are little bumps inside the band and they help it not turn too.  I did a lot of research in order to get the right size!  But for me the ring sizer they sent was pretty spot on, but I went with what the jeweler told me.  I thought i was a 4, jeweler said 4.25 so we got that and its been fine.

@amallama:  hmm you could always do 5.25 to be safe! if others have gotten their size and it’s perfect, maybe i was a rarity. although i’ve talked to a few others and their rings were also about a half/quarter size too big as well. however, people who got their rings and they were too big are more likely to talk about it than those whose ring was the perfect size, so that may be part of why it seems like they run big. i do like my ring snug, though, so if you aren’t as paranoid as me the 5.5 will probably be just right.

I also found that the sizing was spot on.  I did originally think that my engagement ring was bigger than the size I ordered, so I took it to a jeweler to check, and it was exactly the size they said it was.

@nl:  They can definitely resize palladium–2/2 of the local jewelers that I called can do it.  I think the issue might be more with the “quick jewelry repair” type places that aren’t equipped to handle it.

I am a size 6 in the winter, and a size 6.5 in the summer, so I am going with the 6.25. I figure I can always get it resized, but it should fit.

@jdhall89:  Oh that’s good to knwo for the future.  I may have confused the no resizing with the fact that i didn’t want to send it back so I wanted to do it locally.  During my research a few sites had said that some jewelers can’t work with palladium because they are unfamiliar.  I may have changed that information in my head along the way! Thank you.

I was a 6.5 based on the sizer and ordered a 6.5, and it’s perfect.  I was also sized in a jewelry store, and the guy was pushing me to go with a 6… which I felt was too small.  So based on those two things, I’d say their sizes were true to size for me.

I used their paper size chart and the actual ring sizer they mailed to me and based on those I ordered a size 6 and mine is too big by 1/4-1/2 size!
