I’d purchase one of both and see which one you liked best, then return the other one.

Either way though, I don’t think you can go wrong!

I purchased a H&A cut last week. It is STUNNING. So the main difference is the cut. The F1 has splintery faucets and has a lower crown, which is not very diamond like, but the cut makes it “more sparkly”. The H&A cut has a taller crown, which is a more diamond like cut. It also comes with a certification so you know exactly what you are getting. I got a 1.44 carat E, VVS2. The H&A stone was so sparkly and gorgeous. It looked amazing in all the lighting I put it in. I don’t have it anymore because my boyfriend is working on getting it set. If you have any questions, I can do my best to help! Good luck!

rosebeee :  I didn’t know these were out. I almost purchased the F1 because I’m tired of waiting on the AG. I like the H&A much better than the F1.

Thank you!

It really depends what you like. F1 is cut to maximize the brilliance and scintillation of the stone – so you get a more sparkly gem. But, because the cut is a bit different you get kind of a splintery look to the facets. The H&A cut is the same cut you see for round brilliant diamonds. It does sparkle much less than an F1, but it looks VERY much like a diamond. I think telling diamonds and moisseys just got a whole lot harder with this new H&A cut.

I personally would stick with the F1 because I love the sparkle of Moissanite. Everyone who sees mine remarks about how much it sparkles. I have my moissey eternity band paired with my 1 ct diamond, and it def outshines the diamond.

If you want something that’s going to look exactly like a perfectly cut diamond, then the new H&A is the way to go

rosebeee :  I just ordered an H&A 8.0mm F1 moissanite for my engagement ring! It should be here tomorrow. I’ll be sure to post my opinion and pictures.

honeybadgered :  yeah!!! Please post photos !! I really look forward to seeing this. I’ve seen the videos C&C has posted on their website, but of course those are ‘perfect’ lighting conditions. I’m interested to see ‘real’ conditions.

I did the same research on Moissanite and I am SO glad I did! I have to say, it is simply breathtaking and I am no Jeweler but the sparkle compared to real diamonds is identically breathtaking. I think you are going the right route of ordering through this website as I’ve seen many happy Brides post their pictures with very reasonable prices. We decided to go to a custom jeweler locally and the price nearly doubled. Although I am now completely in love with my ring, there was a little soreness on how much he spent compared to some of the Custom Jewelers he could have selected online or the site you mentioned. Happy shopping in best of luck! I’m sure whatever you pick will be stunning 💘

honeybadgered :  We paid for 2 day shipping, and that still felt like an eternity. Now it feels EVEN LONGER waiting for the SO to have it set. He works slow *sigh*

sparklesauce :  I should have paid the shipping!

Fiance and I already picked out the setting. Once the stone arrives I’m making a mad dash to the jewlers to give them the stone. For some reason, they wanted the stone before they would order the setting, so I’ll probably need to wait a few weeks for the finished ring. Ugh!!
