After waiting years for an Amora I finally took the plunge and ordered a colorless H&A yesterday evening. And I got a notice that it’s arriving today!! I’ll post pics and a video when I get it!

So I completely underestimated how hard it is to take a video of these stones and really capture their brilliance. I did my best and will try to get one outside tomorrow.

im a total amora gem girl. i feel like nothing can compare – its too bad its so hard to get the size/color/clarity you want.

nfran :  Thank you for taking the time to capture and post these! What are your thoughts on the stone after seeing it in person?

mspibb :  I love it! The cut, color, the sparkle, it’s all so lovely and amazing! I’ve been taking it in as many different lighting situations as I can find and it looks great in all of them. I still need to check it out in direct sunlight, but hopefully I can do that tomorrow. For a little background, I’ve had an enhanced Moissy for 6 years which I like, but I found myself only wearing it in certain lighting situations because it would look super warm next to the diamonds in my halo and that bugged me. This stone is nice and white for sure. Also, to be fair, I am of the mindset that the Moissy can be “too sparkly” and didn’t love the flatness (cut) of my current stone, so this stone fixes both of those things for me. I have been walking around comparing it to my diamond and feel it is very diamond like. The only problem is it’s almost too perfect 🙂 which isn’t a bad thing, but if I plug in the attributes of my stone in BlueNile, it’s a $60K stone!! Luckily I’ve been married a while so everyone has already seen my ring so no one looks too close anymore.

I still would love to see it side by side with a Soaring Hearts Amora just to compare but I can’t seem to get my hands on an equivalent AG.

nfran :  It looks so beautiful!! I thought I was going to go with a F1 but after seeing the H&A here I may be headed that direction. I love the cut and it seems to have plenty of sparkle which is the main thing I’m looking for. Thanks again to you and everyone else for all the videos, photos, and comments!

mspibb :  it seems you can’t go wrong with either, like I’ve heard before, both are beautiful, just a matter of preference and what is important to you.

A couple more videos. Still working to get one in direct sunlight. It’s a bit cloudy where I am

Ok Bees, this will be the last set of videos for the colorless H&A. Hope this helps everyone make a decision on which stone to go with. These are direct sunlight, shade, and small diamond comparison. A couple final things I noticed, the cut, although not as flat as the C&C moissanite is still not as “tall” as a diamond – This doesn’t bother me as my setting covers most of the bottom of the stone anyway. And 2, in direct sunlight it def gets more of a steely/grey color, as opposed to what I’ve seen in the Amora (YouTube video link shows an Amora in direct sunlight) but from what I’ve seen on the Internet, the grey is consistent with a well cut diamond.  Not sure if that’s true or not and if anyone knows, feel free to comment.

Good luck finding  stone YOU love as it is nice to have more options now.

PS – please excuse my “crossfit” hands… And sorry these are not the best quality, the sparkle was so bright it was literally blinding and I could not see what I was shooting until I watched it after 😊

nfran :  I could kiss you!!!! I currently have a 7mm FB and planned to upgrade to a 7.5mm F1 in a couple weeks, somehow I totally missed that H&A was an option through moissaniteco.com!! I would have been so upset if I didn’t find this until after I got the F1. I find my FB to be too rainbowy at times so I think this will be a perfect option for me. I seriously cannot thank your enough!! I just emailed Chris at Moissaniteco.com, he’s been so helpful. I’ll be getting sol238a in 14K white gold. I’m basically redoing my FB ring as I had issues with the setting and the stone. This will be the 4th ring my poor husband has bought and we are both hoping that this will be it in regards to my forever ring. (I still have a RHR wish list LOL.)

The stone looks amazing in your videos. In person would you say the stone has a decent amount of white light return compared to the typical moissy disco ball effect??

I am so excited I’m nearly jumping out of my skin. I think I’ll place my order tomorrow morning!!

nfran :  Just wanted to add that you are correct, well cut diamonds do go dark/gray/steely in direct sunlight 😀

cheezybrie :  So glad I was able to help you get a step closer to your forever ring! I am getting mine set now and I can’t wait to get it back, although I think it will be a few weeks. Not sure if you saw this comparison video of the Forever One and Colorless H&A, but the rep I spoke with from MoissaniteCo sent it to me and it definitely helped me decide to go with the H&A as I agree with you regarding the F1 being a bit “too rainbowy”, where I feel the H&A is more diamond-like with how it sparkles.

nfran :  Yes I have and I totally agree! The dark shadows thing bothers me. My FB does that now in some lights, but it also gets so bright that it just looks like a little glowing ball in a weird way where the facets aren’t clear and I swear for the first time in my life I’ve all of a sudden become color sensative, because I normally like G colored diamonds and my FB has been looking so yellow recently. It’s weird too because this one was hand picked by Beth at Schubach’s. Chris is supposed to screen stones for me, I am SO excited! I placed my order on Tuesday. I check my order multiple times a day knowing it won’t change, because I’m just so excited haha!

What does your setting look like?!
