cheezybrie :  Here is my ring with a 7.5mm enhanced Moissy I got 6+ years ago. In the second pic, you can see how warm the stone looks against my setting and how flat the top it is. Excited that my new H&A will fix these things!! Make let me know what you think of your new H&A when you get it!

nfran :  How pretty!! It looks like Tacori ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m so excited to see the finished product. You should do a side by side pic to compare cut because the moissy cut it showing off in the top pic.

Oh I shall! I’ll post here and probably start a thread too, we need as many pictures of these H&As as possible! Since my last ring had issues I am so nervous my moissaniteco.com ring will too, but I’m trying to remain positive. I wrote a lot in that special notes box regarding the stone and setting preference. I really hope they pull through for me. I’ll be inspecting every inch of it before that security sticker comes off.

nfran :  I agree that the stone is hard to capture. I had mine for a day before my bf claimed it. I mean I am excited for him to get it set, but I really miss the sparkles. I loved your videos because they remind me of the day I was playing around with mine in different lightings. Your videos came out better than mine. I am no expert yet haha.

I also like how the sparkle is more diamond like and how the cut is definitely better than the F1. The crown still isn’t as tall as I would like, but it is a huge improvement.

sparklesauce :  I had to take all those videos so I can watch them while I wait impatiently to get my ring back! You stone looks so pretty too! Excited to see it on your finger ๐Ÿ™‚

cheezybrie :  I like your setting. I have a similar Tiffany style as well with a much smaller diamond ๐Ÿ™‚ Mine is a tacori now..the famed 2620.  I had no idea it was such a popular setting when I picked it. But I love it.

nfran :  Haha I just recognized the style and figured it was. Thanks! I currently have the Tiffany style knife edge from American Set Co. I actually prefer it more than Sol238a, I think, but because my moissy didn’t fit right in it the first time I didn’t want to take the risk again. Schubach’s tried to set my stone the way I wanted and it resulted in a wonky prong that drives me crazy. Originally we were just going to reset my current moissanite, but when I realized I could get a better, bigger stone for not a whole lot more it just made sense.

nfran :  You and me both sista! I want my ring so badly. I already picked out my setting my darling Boyfriend or Best Friend just needs to get moving and get it to the jeweler. I wish he wasn’t so laid back because I am such a go getter. It is like sweetheart, get me the money and I’ll take care of everything haha. So impatient.

sparklesauce :  LOL and that’s why I take care of my jewelry purchases, Darling Husband would take forever ๐Ÿ˜‰

No, but at the end of the day you’ll probably appreciate the surprise proposal. I know the suspense sucks, but that moment will be so worth it!!

cheezybrie :  We are planning on buy a home next year and he understands how important engagement is before we buy the house together. He said “We will be engaged before this year is up”, but ugh. I see the box with the stone just sitting in his room. (Been there for 3 weeks). I just want him to send it off. He says he plans to do something with it during September, but time just gets away so fast from him that I feel like he will wait until the last second. Sigh. I hate surprised anyways haha.

I love, love my three stone 4H H&A. I got it originally back in June before the stones were officially released or announced, and was thrilled then, but I recently had them switch the stones as there had been some improvements and I am even more impressed. You can see some photos of the ring with the original stones in my threads but I still need to take photos of the new ones – I will try to do so tomorrow and update this thread.

I truly did not like original round brilliant cut or F1 moissanites at all, but loved the OECs. However when I needed a replacement for a loss they did not have OECs anymore in sizes I wanted and Chris let me know about the new stones that were still a “secret”. I decided to go for it.

They have higher crowns (like a well cut MRB, not like an OEC), mine do not have any of that “black spot” I sometimes saw in the original rounds at certain angles, mine are my ideal of being near colourless (my centre is an H, sides matched) and sparkly but perform VERY similar to my actual diamonds (more similar white light and coloured light – not so many “rainbows”). And of course, they have the H&A cut, not the splintery one, the former which is the dealmaker for me. I happily take a little less “moissanite performance” meaning less brilliance for a MUCH more pleasing cut (IMO).

These really are beautiful, in my view. I have no problem wearing them even with my diamonds right near them, they perform so similarly (though as a disclaimer my diamonds are not modern rounds!)

I also prefer them to the Amora Gem. I liked the transitional cut of the round AGs (prior to Soaring Hearts anyway) but the performance fell really flat for me.

RayKay :  I’m so glad to hear this!!! Your description is exactly what I am hoping for. My FB looks odd in some lights and I know it’s because of the cut. In some lighting I LOVE my stone, in others I hate it and the rainbow sparkles could at times be too much. It also seems RBs have an issue with shadowing because of the cut and I can’t see at all in these H&A videos. I know moissy keeps getting better, but to me this seems perfect! I really hope I’m pleased when I get my ring.

Can you make any comments on MoissaniteCo’s ring craftsmanship? My last ring from Schubach’s came with a wonky prong. I’m a little crazy when it comes to symmetry and I expect my rings to be pretty perfect.

cheezybrie :  I think you will be happy with the stone!

This is not my first MoCo item (I have ordered from them for 6-7 years) but I am very happy. With this ring in particular I had them modify an existing setting and they did a great job! I think you have to be realistic in that their settings are not high end designer, many are from casting houses, but in my own experience the quality in finishing has been there.

Their customer service has always been good to me too with making small changes. And when I sent it back to them recently they turned it around within a day, couriered it, and I had it next day (and I am in Canada!).

RayKay :  Wow that is awesome! I hope.I’m just as lucky. So long as it looks like the picture and is symmetrical I’ll be happy.

DonutGirl33 :  What are you going to do with your current moissanite?  I am looking at putting mine in a necklace as it is the stone my husband prosposed with, so I don’t want to just toss it aside. Our anniversary is next month and I think that would make a nice anniversary present laughing

RayKay :  Would love to see pic and/or videos of your ring with the new stones! And you reminded me, the cut of the H&A and the facets are soooo much better than the original and make the stone so pretty, IMO.
