You could always purchase the stone and have the setting made for you, that’s a common thing. We purchased my moissy on Etsy. It’s a 8mm (2ct equivalent) round Charles & Colvard Forever 1 that cost me $560 (which includes the abhorrent sales tax in California). My FH bought an inexpensive (we’re broke grad students…) 2-tone 14k solitaire setting also on Etsy for around $200 and had it set for $70.

If you purchase the size of stone you want, many jewelers can customize a setting for you.  Other bees may have more experience with that tbh, but it’s an option.

Good luck!

Brilliant Earth offers moissy rings. Most of their settings are available in diamond or moissy

minnewanka :  for the stone we used timmysjewelry (link below)

I would not recommend using the seller my fiance used for the setting though, he was rude, took almost a month longer than he originally told us without any indication as to why or any apology, and I don’t think he does custom work.

I did, but  getting everything from the same seller saves you shipping and communication time it also saves you cost. Back in the day when moissanite was very popular on eBay and you can get a 2 carat stone for a $.99 auction they were beautiful. Nobody could tell the difference and nobody can tell the difference today except for the people that constantly purchase and look at moissanite and diamonds. I often resell many of my projects so I am able to kind of discern between sellers and who can do what. But in the long run you’ll save yourself a lot of time if you just get it from a one stop shop. There are some pretty awesome etsy vendors With very reasonable pricing that would make you happy.

This was my dream ring too. My boyfriend did a double take when he realized those side stone are about .05 carats each. I have the James Allen equivalent, with side stones of .16 carats each. The JA also has a prettier profile, though I’m biased.

I’d recommend sending pics to one of the Chinese moissanite vendors. You’ll get exactly what you want.

As far as I know, Brilliant Earth does offer a moissy option. It is their own brand of moissy, not the more well-known C&C or others. I loved one of their rings too, but they are definitely more expensive than other options. I would get the brand of moissy you love most as a loose stone and/or have a jeweler imitate that setting if possible.
