As far as I’m aware, it’s not going to ruin. It’s not porous like CZ so external things shouldn’t affect it.

I could be wrong though!

I have a 1.25 Amora Moissanite and I LOVE it. There is nothing I don’t like about it. A friend of mine told me the other day that mine was the only e-ring she’d seen that she didn’t feel uncomfortable around because she didn’t have to lie about how beautiful it was.

It really is stunning and in my opinion, prettier than any diamond I’ve seen!

I have a moissy too. Moissys are actually more resistant to chipping vs diamonds. I love my ring as well and everyone compliments it!

I would want to make sure whatever moissy you get isn’t enhanced with a coating, as I don’t really know how that would work or what potential interact but aside from that I think you should be every bit as ok as you would be with a diamond or any other stone.

I have no idea on bleach stuff. Honestly all moissy’s are made by Charles and colvard so I’d call them. My moissy is from moissante.com (Charles and Colvard). I love it!

It should hold up as well as a diamond, and much better than any other stone. I’ve actually read that Moissy has some property that repels oil and dirt more than diamonds. Not sure if that works for hand sanitizer.

I have a moissy ring (love it!!) with a semi-eternity band, and I plan on getting a semi-eternity wedding band too. I’m going into medicine though, and I think I’ll just get a plain palladium band (less reactive to chemicals) to wear to work. Partly for convenience, and partly because I don’t want my patients to get any sort of impression of me based on a ring. When I’m not working though, I want to rock my bling!

You can use hand sanitizer with moissanite! I wash my hands constantly, since I work in a lab.

Nurse with a moissy here and I generally do not wear my ring to work. I have, on occassion, and have not noticed any damage or clouding with repeated foaming. I tend to wash my hands more when I do wear my ring rather than foam them and really, that’s better for patient care too. But to me, rings put your gloves more at risk to tear and put you at risk for infection… plus other gross stuff to get on them. But there are plenty of women I work with who wear their rings. Everyone has their own preference. Long story short, I haven’t noticed any wear or tear on mine, but I don’t wear it that often. When I get my moissy wedding band, I will wear that to work.

@Lalk2bee:

Thanks! if you call them, let me know what they say! I’m not a nurse but I’m interested in hearing the answer. I have a special needs kid though so we’re in and out of the hospitals often… I don’t usually see tr nurses with their rings on…

I’m a surgeon so have to wash my hands/use hand sanitiser pretty constantly too (although don’t wear my ring when operating, obviously!). I’ve had a moissy ring for 6 months and its holding up beautifully. Mine is bezel set for more protection and I love it!

@Lalk2bee:  I’ve heard of it from a couple different bees, but I don’t know if it actually happens. I know mine wasn’t, and it came from MoissyCo.
