I don’t have any of the solitare rings! But I love Sol280 it looks the most substantial and has a very neat side detail!!

I don’t have a moissy but my ring looks EXACTLY like sol012, which is actually a really standard solitare setting.

My diamond is 1ct and the stone sits pretty far into the setting. I’d say there is maybe 1mm between the point of the diamond and the v of the prongs (if that makes any sense).

It does sit up on the finger about 6mm, enough that I can’t stick my hand in my pocket easily.

I’m not sure which model number exactly, so i’ll just post a picture (:

The center stone is 1.25 carat/7mm, and I did get the amora enhancement. I’m sure it served its purpose because inside it always faces up extrememly white. Although I feel like I would have loved it unenhanced as well, just because i’m wild about the colored light it throws and love the way it soaks up the colors of whats around it, like the trees. If I could go back, I probably wouldn’t bother about the Amora, just because Moissy is so stunning and the Amora is meant to “white out” that additional color that I love so much!

@amille56:  Thank you!  I went with the smooth band for comfort reasons.

I looked at Moissy Co for earrings and I’m pretty sure they have a good return policy!

WELL, since you’re twisting my arm! I’ve just got engaged less than 12 hours ago:

It’s the sol288, so not quite what you were looking for. 0.75 on 7.5 size finger.

Thank you! I have also been wanting to see an amora next to an unenhanced. I’ll probably check the BTD boards, because they usually have a lot of photos like that for comparing.

I feel like you should be fine without the amora. Espeically with a round cut, which is supposed to face up the whitest. Unless you’re wanting it to be as “diamond like” as possible, in which case you might want to have it enhanced. Its all up to personal preference. Some bee’s like moissy for its own unique qualities, and some because of its ability to appear like a diamond. Either way, your ring will be gorgeous. I’ve seen pictures of the amora and unenhanced on the boards and they are all stunning. Please post a picture when you get your ring! :]

I think you are going to encounter the “pocket” issue with most rings– I have that problem with my costume jewelry as well.

I voted for 074, but they are all beautiful!  I have sol207 from MoissyCo.

As PPs have said, check out the BetterThanDiamond message boards for comparison pics between amora and unenhanced.  I have an amora cushion and it’s pretty white, but occasionally shows some warmth… I wouldn’t want this cut in unenhanced.  But, rounds face up whiter, and it’s all about personal preference anyway.

I would also recommend doing a search on the BTD boards for specific model numbers you are considering… I did that and discovered what the double claw prongs look like in person on my current ring… which I ended up going with!

Mine is 2.2 carat cushion cut Amora in J color.  4 prong setting but we did not get the setting from moissaniteco.
