I’m considering getting a moissy e ring and am wondering if getting it enhanced or getting the Amora gem is really worth the extra money. Anyone satisfied with their unenhanced ring? I would get a round brilliant so it’s already supposed to be white, but I’m wondering if the upgrade is still worth it. Feel free to flaunt your round solitaire moissys ladies!!!

what size are you looking to get? i think it’s worth it if you’re going above a carat! my 1.5ct is a little warm in some light, so i think that the unenhanced would bother me.

Are you averse to the stone having a warmer tone? Some people love the warmer tones and others don’t.
I ordered a 1/2 carat equivalent non-enhanced moissy and I felt it was just a bit too yellow-ish for my taste, although I think I would be really happy with the Amora moissy.
I agree that the larger the size, the more important it might be to choose the Amora enhancement.

Here is a pic of my 2.2 carat cushion cut Amora at the jewelers yesterday being set in my blue nile setting.
It is J in color and does throw some yellow but I like that.

You can’t get the Amora Gem yet.
If you are talking Amora enhancement, yes, you can get that. It is totally dependent on you. Most people I know get it enhanced now, but not all (KatyElle has an unenhanced round, for example).
I am very satisfied with my unenhanced stone, but that is because I really like the warmth and moodiness of moissanite and because it is an OEC cut I like the warmth even more, I search it out in the lighting that is conducive to it!
In most lighting mine is very white, in some other lighting it shows its warmth much more. I love when it shows its warmth, but not everyone does like this.

@RayKay: RayKay is correct. The Amora GEM is not available in the USA for a while, possibly other countries in Summer.
I am sorry, I thought you just meant the enhance Amora, which I have.

@sleepyhead22: I am looking to get a 1 carat, just so it doesn’t seem too ‘fake’ given our budget. I would like it to resemble as close as possible to a diamond without seeming obviously ‘fake.’
@Jane8530: Your moissy is so gorgeous, very white and sparkly, just as I am hoping mine will look.
I guess my biggest worry that I’ve seen with moissys is the coloration they can give off, which clearly shows it’s not a diamond. I want it to look clean and crisp. Can I get that with the unenhanced moissy if it’s a 1 carat, or should I do an enhancement? And does the Amora enhancement really make that big of a difference from the general enhancement? Do the moissys still look great without an enhancement? Most pics I’ve seen are with enhancements or in a halo setting so you can’t clearly see the lighting of the individual gem.
@RayKay: I did in fact mean the Amora enhancement and not the gem. But thanks for the clarification 🙂

@amille56: I have an amora moissanite, I havent seen it in person yet [Fiance has it with him for now ] but Ive seen pics of it, and to me.. and I COULD be wrong, from pictures it seems a little warm but beautiful. the only thing that is a moissanite is center stone so, look at that.
And heres the warmer side [ to me ]
Edit : Soo sorryy about how big the pics are – cant seem to make it smaller!
