@sparklediva:  The diamond is my engagement ring and the moissy is for my stand-in ring. I do hands on stuff, so for that and also when I vacation and stuff. πŸ˜€

@sparklediva:  thanks for the info!

Edit: I just realized the setting is from Moissanite.com, not MoissaniteCo.com. Any idea where their settings are? I messaged them, but haven’t heard back.

@thenaturalginger:  do you have any more/closer pictures of your ring? It’s so white! I haven’t seen many ovals but most seem to be really warm.

@DelilahDiamond:

Probably from the same places everyone else gets them from- Stuller, Unique, Adwar.  I’m sure there are others, but those are the big boys.  If you have a pic of the ring you love, any jeweler can look on-line or through catalogs to find it.  If they can’t, you can always go the custom route.  It isn’t necessarily more expensive to go custom, it just depends on what you want.  Another option is to modify and existing stock piece by chaning out the head, prongs, shank, etc..

@prettyinpink11:  I’ve had my barely pink from Schubach’s for almost 6 months now and bang it into things all the time. I haven’t had any problems with it chipping. She looks the same as the day I got her πŸ™‚

So Moissanite.com doesn’t do custom settings. I love a setting they have but it is WAY too big for me (it’s a 2.0 carat equivilant, set in a halo). I contacted MoissaniteCo but they don’t work with pear shaped stones. Any one know any other sites that will make a pear shaped halo all in moissy?

@DelilahDiamond:  Did you try Schubachs? They might be able to order you a pear shape from C&C loose and set it

ETA: I do know pear shape is really limited, maybe they don’t make it under the 2 ct size because of difficulty cutting

I have beautiful moissy that I would be willing to sell if any of you bees are interested. Clear white and very sparkly.  I love this ring but never wear it anymore. I can sell the stone only or the entire ring with stone and setting.  Love lookingyat all the gorgeous rings. Keep them coming!  πŸ™‚

No radiant moissys yet? I guess I can help with that πŸ™‚ Sorry for all the crappy cell phone pics, we haven’t done our official engagement shoot yet.

@DelilahDiamond:  Pear cut Moissanites do exist.  We used to sell them on MoissaniteCo.com, but our return rate was very high (80%+) so we discontinued them.  The FB pear cuts are an improvement as far as the color is concerned, but they do still tend to be greenish and the unique C&C pear cut makes the facets appear blurry/foggy, even in the FB.

After having a lot of problems the past year with my diamond e-ring, my new setting with a 1 ct moissanite is on its way!  Pics to come!
