@feufighter:  With my original diamond e-ring, we have had just a ton of problems with accent diamonds falling out, the head on the ring bending, etc.  And I’m incredibly careful with my jewelry.  The jeweler we went through tried to work something out with the manufacturer who ended up being very uncooperative.  The jeweler felt bad and offered to trade out that e-ring for a new setting so we would hopefully stop having issues.  The only other settings we were really in love with were halo settings that required a carat or more center stone.  We’re both still in college, so we decided to look into moissanite, as my other diamond center stone was only 1/4 carat and we couldn’t afford a full carat diamond.  We fell in love with moissanite right away, and figured it would be a great option for us!

I love moissanite! It’s like the perfect stone for me. It sparkles like cRaZy. It’s strong enough to wear all day forever. Plus I wont support an industry that I don’t agree with. I don’t have to worry about a family being torn apart. The father being in slaved to mine gems, the son ended up getting shot up with drugs and handed a meachine gun and the father has to fight to get his family back together. Ok yes the movie Blood Diamond made me realize that the world was not filled with rainbows and unicorns. It made me cry a lot. Lol so I love the fact that you can get a moissanite ring that is made in the US of A. But I do have to say that I haven’t seen a gem that I don’t want to own. Moissanite is just my fav.

I just got my moissanite! I was worried it might be too warm (and that enhancement might make it too white) so asked for one on the whiter side, and man…I could go warmer! In most cases, it’s VERY white!

LOOOOOVE it, can’t wait to get it in the setting, and am carrying it around everywhere with me (I’m just asking to lose it, I know) because I love how it looks in different lighting.

@turnanewleaf:  when I got my Amora, I carried it around with me to see it in different environments too! I whipped it out at Starbucks one day and my BFF nearly had a stroke thinking I was carrying a huge diamond around. Alas, Amora and I weren’t meant to be, but it was fun checking it out.

Here is mine! 8x6mm FB radiant cut, in a halo and with milgrain/filigree work too! It gets lots of looks and cooing from other women haha. Fiance is quite pleased with that (as am I!). We both chose the setting, and we both marvelled at the stone itself – he got out his LED and shone it on the stone and it was SO sparkly it was gorgeous! Really shows itself off in certain lights, especially sunlight, and even when it is cloudy it is beautiful!

My mum might be getting me some matching earrings (yay!), which will be nice!

In daylight indoors:

Daylight outdoors!:

(The colour is just from the colours shining through the stone at that point, as you can see it is a pretty white stone!)

LED light fun!

@mrspinesol:  Yeah I was worried about it being too “pointy” and rectangle-y(?), but with the radiant and trillian side stones I think it squares the center stone out a lot more. As you can see I have HUGE fingers (I’m almost 6′ tall and wear a 10.25 ring!) so I didn’t want a center stone that looked skinny and accentuated the width of my hand.

@FutureDrAtkins:  I love your ring. I think I’ve seen it before on another post (either that or someone has a similar ring). It is gorgoeus. You give me the ring envy everytime!

Of course Fiance and I had never heard of moissanite. He got me a diamond halo. As much as I love it, I nearly died when I found out what moissy was… and what we could have got… Woulda, coulda, shoulda… Dammit!!!!!!!!!!

@NurseNess17:  what are the dimensions of your radiant? If you don’t mind me asking. I am getting a radiant moissy in my ring too! Your ring is beautiful btw!

@Fireflysushi:  I’m pretty sure it’s the 8×6 (like I said, huge fingers), Fiance had it made custom so I’m not completely positive.

@FemShepN7:  Aw thank you! I’ve plastered it all over this site! I’m sure you probably have seen it elsewhere… 5 or 6 or 12 times! haha.  There’s always a future RHR!
