Absolutely, I would order from them again!

Customer service was excellent! My husband used the chat function quite a bit, I kind of sprung the whole “I want a moissanite” thing on him unexpectedly and he had lots of questions and they answered all of them.

It was exactly what we were expecting, although I wasn’t entirely prepared for the sparkle. It’s fabulous!

It was purchased in February 2011 and has held up wonderfully. I’m pretty rough with it actually, bad I know, but nothing has happened to it. We did send it back once he proposed to me with it, the center stone was set VERY slightly crooked (I didn’t even notice until he pointed it out, then it was ALL that I noticed). It was quick and painless and fixed perfectly.

    1) How was your experience: customer service, ordering process, shipping, etc?

    Awesome! No complaints at all.

    2) Was your ring as expected: as described on website, etc?

    Yup! Possibly even prettier.

    3) How long have you had your ring, and how has it held up? Bonus points if you have micropave- have you lost any stones? Had to send your ring back for any reason? If you did, did you have a good experience with this?

I got engaged July 26th, so going on 5 months ago. It still looks as new as the day it went on my finger.

I had two great experiences with them, so obviously I said I would use them again because I did.

My husband bought a moissy necklace for me for a wedding gift and a few months ago he upgraded my center stone.

    1) experience was great. Items were shipped and arrived the next day which is amazing because I live in Canada. The items were carefully packaged. I never had any issues so I can’t comment on how they are if there was a need to return something but it sounds easy from what I’ve read.

    2) my necklace was exactly what I thought it would be and so was the loose amora stone I ordered. They are both very white stones and I couldn’t be happier. Actually as a previous poster mentioned, I was very pleasantly surprised with the beautiful sparkle of the stones.

    3) I’ve had the necklace a year and a half and wear it often. I’ve never had any problems with the prongs. Obviously the loose stone didn’t come with prongs but I can say that it hasn’t scratched or chipped and I am very hard on my rings.

overall I had great experiences, would love to get earrings from them next, and continue to recommend them to my friends. Good luck with your purchase!

heres a pic of my new amora stone (the setting isn’t from moissyco though).

    1) I didn’t participate directly in the intial purchase, but Fiance says they were easy to work with.  You can see the progress of your order, and it arrived on schedule.  I sent them back for resizing, and customer service was quick and helpful.  They were back sooner than expected.

    2) So much better than expected!  We were nervous about ordering a stone and setting we’d never seen before.  The ring is beautiful–the pictures online don’t do it justice.  The super-pricey jeweler I took it in to for a second resizing/bridge installation was totally smitten with it too.

    3) Had it for 5 months, no issues.

We’ve bought 2 rings from them, the first in January 2011 and the more recent in October 2012.  Both times I’ve been impressed with the customer service. Production and shipping were as expected.  The first ring lost a stone about 9 months after purchase, so I sent it back and they did the repair and sent it back.  Funnily (not so funny at the time), another stone fell out the day I got my ring back from repairs! I was pretty annoyed but they did that repair speedy quick and took care of the costs.  I have absolutely no complaints and will order from them again.  First ring:

    1) How was your experience: Excellent.

    2) Was your ring as expected: BETTER than expected.

    3) How long have you had your ring, and how has it held up? Bonus points if you have micropave- have you lost any stones? Had to send your ring back for any reason? If you did, did you have a good experience with this?: My situation is kind of confusing, so please bare with me!

I have had my main stone since 2010. It is in perfect condition. My first setting I ordered I just picked “whatever” solitaire setting, because I didn’t think there was much to think about with solitaires. The setting I chose wasn’t a good fit for me. The prongs were too high and the band was too thin for my fingers. My fingers are small (size 5), really short, and my knuckles are kind of big.

Around a year and a half of wearing the ring I contacted Moissyco to see about changing the setting. I have always loved three stone rings and decided to go for it!

Then I ordered my wedding band, which is the milgrain bezel eternity band. I absolutely adore my wedding band. It is amazing!

Problem is, my three stone and wedding band are not comfortable together. They LOOK beautiful together but I just can’t wear them for very long. I didn’t find this out until after the wedding, because I didn’t wear them together for more than 10 minutes prior to the wedding.

Now I am switching my stone back into a solitaire and am making the sidestones into earrings. Moissyco has helped me with my selection. I had many specifications that needed to be met with the new solitaire setting, given my experience with my first solitaire and they were very patient with me and answered all my questions. I am ALWAYS satisfied with my purchases with Moissyco.

    1) How was your experience: customer service, ordering process, shipping, etc?

My husband ordered the ring and dealt with them along the way and said the whole purchasing process was fine. However, when I wrote to complain about how unhappy I was with the stone and how green it was, I was met with a very unapologetic email offering to replace it with a stone of much lesser value (an Asha), or have me pay more to exchange it for an Amora enhanced stone. Neither of those options were satisfactory remedies for the situation for me since it was an issue of the stone not looking as described. I’ve since seen unenhanced heart shaped moissanites which were not nearly as terribly colored as the stone I was sent, and I felt I got such an ugly stone due to a quality control issue. I felt they could’ve offered to find me a different unenhanced stone from their stock with better color to rectify the situation.

    2) Was your ring as expected: as described on website, etc?

No. The stone was green, and was not anywhere close to looking like “near colorless”, as had been advertised at the time on their website (this was almost a year ago now so I’m not sure if they’ve changed that). The setting seemed nice and solid though, and was attractive. Sizing/fit was off.

    3) How long have you had your ring, and how has it held up? Bonus points if you have micropave- have you lost any stones? Had to send your ring back for any reason? If you did, did you have a good experience with this?

I returned the ring because my heart sank the moment I opened the box, and I knew it wasn’t for me. We did have to pay a fairly substantial restocking fee, but I was just glad to be rid of the ring and get most of our money back. I felt the restocking fee was unfair considering how unsatisfied I was with the ring, the center stone in particular, and because I felt myself and my husband were victim to false marketing (bought an unenhanced fancy shaped moissy and it was completely green – all of the stones on their site at the time were described as “near colorless” and all of the photos of stones are white). They did state the restocking fee policy on their website, however, I just felt it wasn’t good customer service. They clearly didn’t care if we ever ordered anything from them again.

Despite all of this, I still for a time had thoughts of trying this company again in the future. I have since changed my mind as I have personally been turned off by how they have treated their unsatisfied customers publicly (and how they treated myself when I was unhappy with my item). I know many people have ordered from them and been thrilled, which is great. Personally, I prefer to deal with a company that will try their best to make things right for the customer in the event that their purchase is not to their satisfaction and would rather not chance having to pay a restocking fee for an item that was not as described.

i love my ring, and would definitely order from them again. FYI their sizes run huge if you do order from them… my ring was 3/4 of a size too big, and i had to pay for it to be resized.  not a major issue though at all.

    i have a 1.5ct amora on a white gold band. Eng 144.

I have their low profile eternity band. their customer service was awesome. if you ask, they offer tons of options that are not listed on their website. such as:

    1. there was a different ring I wanted to see in real life, but I mentioned being worried about the restocking fee if I wanted to return it. they said they happened to have one already made in stock — just not in my size. I ordered it just to see it, and I was able to return it w/o the restocking fee. this might not be available on every ring though, I just lucked out that they happened to have this one.

    2. they offer different variations. like if you want a band to be wider, or have a different head, or if you want an eternity ring to be made 1/2 or 3/4 eternity. just ask, they might offer it!

I’ve been wearing my ring every day for over 16 months and it still looks great! and I am not the type of person who treats their ring with kid gloves. I clean it with a toothbrush & windex, and it has held up just fine.

@Dialysate:  You’re very welcome :). Absolutely yes, heart shaped (and fancy shaped moissanite in general) shows much more color than rounds do. I knew that when I told my husband I was interested in a heart shaped moissanite, and I specifically wanted an unenhanced for the “warmth”, as I like warmer diamonds. But at the time, even an unenhanced heart was listed as “H-J” in color on moissaniteco’s website (which may well have changed since then). Here’s a comparison picture of the ring I sent back next to my diamond promise ring with J colored diamonds:

Honestly, that picture doesn’t even begin to show the green that this stone exhibited – but it gives you an idea. Nowhere on the site did it warn that a stone would be outright green in color (in all lighting, some worse than others) and all of the stones pictured were white (I didn’t expect it to be perfectly white/colorless, but didn’t expect green either). That’s why I felt it was not as advertised/described.

Ultimately, I ended up deciding to go with a diamond and my husband is currently having me a heart shaped diamond ring made :). But I would totally like a colored moissanite/round moissanite right hand ring someday. And definitely an Amora gem when it’s available! πŸ˜‰ For the record, I think unenhanced round moissies, especially OECs, are awesome looking. The particular fancy shape I wanted, in moissanite, was not for me. Although I’ve seen a beautiful ring around these boards with an Amora heart moissanite that looked very white.

Re: Forever Brilliant stones, I just read a thread on the betterthandiamond forums about how BTD’s quality control has discovered some very green stones that were coated to appear whiter than they are. The fact that they were coated was not disclosed by C&C and was only verified by BTD’d independant testing. Here’s a link to the thread:
