i’m with your mom on this.  if you need to fly to kleinfelds, it sounds like quite a distance and i can understand her not wanting to go and have the added expense.

why don’t you ask her to go to a local shop with you?

jessiquh :  so she asked you to stop bugging her about it and you proceeded to bug her about it? I’m not sure what reaction you were expecting from her. As far as her being a “cheap ass,” is she paying for the dress or are you?

Don’t fly to go to Kleinfeld’s. Seriously. It’s not that special. Plus if you’re worried about the cost of flights, then you should be worried about the cost of their dresses. Just do a girls’ day and try on dresses somewhere local to you.

jessiquh :  Well, just because you want her to get excited and play along with the dress shopping doesn’t mean she has to. It’s probably the case that nobody is going to be excited about your wedding dress as you are.

If she’s resisting your attempts to schedule dress shopping, find other people who are excited and make plans with whem instead. If she decides to join you, great. if not, you have other people who want to support you.

You can’t force her to want to do this with you. Just accept that and make plans that you can enjoy without her. If she decides to join you later, bonus.

Remember $40,000 + dress is only acceptable and nothing less. I saw an heiress had one near a million so hopefully your mom and dad will stop being cheap :/

Edit: I think you should get a helicopter to take you to NYC to dress shop!

I wouldn’t accept anything less than the most expensive dress at kleinfelds. Don’t let them knock the price down or throw in any freebies. You’re worth more than that.

jessiquh :  Why don’t you just have your Fiance fly you out there on his dime (first class of course) and pay for the dress? He should be doing nothing but spending thousands upon thousands on you after all to show you how much he cares. He just graduated high school so swinging this should be no problem. But be careful when you purchase a dress. We all know you want to “accidentally” get preggers before the big day so make sure you have a lot of extra room to grow.

I guess you could say you’re the cheap one since it sounds like you won’t pay for your own dress.

You know what’s mean and rude… stopping your birth control to get pregnant even when your just out of high school fiance says he isn’t ready for a baby.

Not my business, but you DID “tell all” in multiple posts on an internet forum 😉

Hoping it’s all a very “fun” joke story. A very long running one at that, you are pretty dedicated.
