we aren’t doing a garter toss either, but can you still wear them under your dress?

We dont know if we want to do one, but I still want a garter! =) For “looks”, “tradition” or maybe for the “night of” =) You could still use it! Maybe you could say something like “I just cant part with it!” hehe! If its blue, could it be your “something blue” but a bit hidden!

Just tell her you’re going to have a “private” garter toss. She doesn’t need all the details!

lol @PinkPinstripes

I think wearing them day-of but telling your mom that you simply decided not to is really the best/only way to go. She’s your mom, chances are she will understand and will get your reasoning for not wanting to do a garter toss (whatever that reasoning may be), and if you offer to wear them day-of she will realize that her effort still means something.

Definitely wear it! Let her know how glad you are to have it, even if you’re not doing the toss. I’m wearing one just for fun (no toss).

Just because you aren’t doing a bouquet toss or garter toss, doesn’t mean you can’t wear a garter.  I say wear it, especially since she went to the trouble of making it for you!!

I’d say wear but not throw, like the other gals have mentioned. Maybe see if your photog can get a few nice shots of your garters/shoes/jewelry on your vanity while you’re getting ready, and maybe she can get a print to show her how special it was to you without showing the entire guest list. 🙂

Wear one, and make sure to have your photg get a pic of it on you.
