@soon2bS: What if she wears a small but tropical flower in her hair? Not the giant ones that young women wear, but a small and tasteful one.

I think black is chic and flattering. I reallllly don’t understand why people make such a huge deal about that color. Why can’t people just wear what they feel the best in?!

I don’t get where the problem is.  My mom is wearing black to my wedding.  it’s classy, elegant, timeless, and it looks great on her.  The only color that’s taboo is white/ivory.

Depending on the time of day and the location, it would depend on the dress. Mine is at the beach. At 2 in the afternoon. Black is a no no because: 1) I think it would be morbid (We are honoring those we have lost by roses from my bouquet into the ocean and (2) Red because I don’t want anyone looking liek a hooker.
