Here’s my dilemma… I’m an only child and my mother wants to walk me down the aisle. She was a single parent ( and is helping pay for my wedding.) However, my father would be devastated. I don’t want to walk down the aisle alone, but I couldn’t bear upsetting either one of my parents. (And having them both walk me down the aisle together isn’t an option.)

First, I want to say I’m so sorry you’re having to go thru this. I know how tough this situation can be. Have they verbally said walking you down the aisle together wasn’t an option? Maybe your dad can walk you down the aisle and meet your mother halfway? I’ve seen divorcing parents do this.

I agree with splitting it between them. Have your mom walk you halfway and your dad finish it off.Or you could have your mom walk you and sit down and have your dad already standing with your fi and his groomsmen.I understand how your mom feels, but talk to her about it.

I hope your parents change their minds. They made you together. They should be able to walk you together. It’s just two minutes.
