Well I’m not technically in Houston either, but close.  We live in Conroe, Montgomery area… so about an hour north.  I work in the med center though, so I’m always in Houston.

@katieebee: That’s funny that you’re going up to the woodlands, I’m going down to the medcenter to deliver.  My doctor is right across the street from where I work, which is really convenient for appointments but not so much for labor.  I can drive an hour in the car while in labor right?

@runsyellowlites: I admire you for being able to be team green… I don’t think I could wait.  I know I’ve read on other boards that you’re hoping for a home birth and have taken the less intervention approach… have you had any ultrasounds then?  I just ask because our gender was VERY apparent on ultrasound, even to the untrained eye.

I’ll be 20 weeks tomorrow, due May 17th.  We just found out last week we’re having a boy! I think we have a name picked, but Darling Husband is reluctant to set anything in stone.  We’ve only agreed on one name so far though, so if he wants more options he needs to throw out some more suggestions.

@katieebee: Yep, it’ll definitely be a surprise!

@kiddosc:  We had an u/s at 23 weeks but since we didn’t want to know the tech  never looked. My midwife said that we could have the tech look and let her know if we wanted but that she didn’t need to. I had to have the u/s to make sure my placenta placement was okay… Having had a previous cesarean I run risk of placenta accreta. All is well though and still planning that homebirth =) And my birthday is May 15 so I think May babies are awesome! hehe

We have an 11-month-old daughter and are 8 weeks along with #2.  We were Team Green the first time around but I want to find out this time.  I’m thinking of a small gender reveal party so that #2 has something special, too.
