I dont have a baby, But i would get 2 bags, one for him one for you. My sister has a black accross-the-body backpack. She loves it. Its easier to carry around then a diaper bag.

Darling Husband hasn’t said anything but I can’t picture him being out with the diaper bag without me and the baby. So with that logic tell him it’s just like carrying your purse if you needed help.

That’s cute, actually, that he even cares and expects to be carrying it around.  My ex never concerned himself with anything infant related, it was all up to me.  So, you’re lucky in that regard!  Maybe get two bags?  That’s what I would do.  Just like purses, you can never have too many.  😉

I don’t have a baby, but that is too funny!  Some of the Vera Bradley bags aren’t too feminine, if you go with more “masculine” colors.  However, my idea of “feminine” may differ from your DH’s!

Oh, we each got one! His is a navy blue bag with his favorite team logo on it. Mine came from Etsy!

I can’t answer too many of your questions since I’m still pregnant;)

BUT my Darling Husband was totally fine with me choosing whatever bag I wanted. Here’s a photo for reference http://www.walmart.com/ip/Baby-Boom-Jacquard-Tote-Diaper-Bag-Brown/16349576

I’m going to be carrying the bag 98% of the time so I wanted to get something that I loved. Besides, everyone’s going to know what it is…they’re not going to just assume that your Darling Husband loves carrying big floral purses around and if he has the bag with him, the baby will be too:)

If he’s unwilling to compromise, maybe get two bags. An ugly manly one for him and the cute girly one for you:) Sure, it’ll be a hassle to switch the things back and forth. Wait, have him do it…maybe he’ll give up and just start carrying yours around;)

Why not get two? Boring diaper bags can’t be all that expensive, right? That’s what we’ll do when our time comes. Maybe it’s bratty of me but I FULLY intend on rocking a Coach diaper bag and somehow I can’t see Darling Husband sporting it himself. If you’ll be the one with it the majority of the time, it makes sense to have something that you’ll like carrying.

@KatyElle:  SO cute!! I’m thinking for my next baby I’m going to splurge on a bag like that. Love etsy!

Honestly, the plain navy blue diaper/all purpose (not a lot of pockets) bags from somewhere like Target are so cheap, maybe $10-15? Might be worth it to just get one and then you can girl out on the one you REALLY want! Mine is from Clutterbags, I had a hard time choosing only one!

I doubt he’ll carry it much. He will probably hold it for you a lot though when you’re together. My Darling Husband said to get whatevr bag I want because he refuses to hold it. He’s like “ill push the stroller or carry the baby—you carry you’re girly bag”. So, I said: deal!
