I’m going to be TTC this winter, and I’d like to hear what those of you who are already pregnant or parents WISH you did before getting pregnant. Like, take a certain prenatal or supplement, lose the final 10 pounds before getting knocked up, had one last bender weekend, whatever.
Realistic things I can integrate in the next 6 weeks, not like a romantic trip to Paris. Although, if that’s your wish, so be it. I don’t have the time or money for that right now! too bad…

@mtnhoney: I wish I went to the dentist and got everything done…. I also wish the doctors didnt loose my result for rubella immunity test…

The two things I wish I’d done: gone out clubbing with my girls one last time and try lots more spicy unique foods. 😉 When morning sickness hit, it hit hard. I miss trying different recipes, sushi and other things I just can’t stomach anymore. Thai food especially. God it sounds so good lol but I know it’d make an appearance later. 😉
Other than that, not much else. I’m finding more to look forward to in the future with my baby than things to look back on in the past. It’s a whole new world of firsts again!

I wasn’t pregnant nor am I trying in any way. But I know it’s in the future so I’m actually preparing for that now. Not being around smoke or smog, eating healthy, excersizing. And of course ridding on roller coasters like crazy!!! I love roler coasters so much xD and sushi! So I would do daredevil ish things and eat the foods you normally couldn’t, if you were pregnant that is. But yes taking care of your body working out your abs so you can bounce back quickly ^-^

ok, I’ve seen the dentist, I had my blood tests, and I eat spicy food all the time… now for more clubbing and drinking with my besties and roller coasters! haha…

We are thinking of ttc within the next 6 months. So, I’ve been going to Hot Yoga (105+ temperature) like crazy! Pretty sure you can’t go to Bikram yoga while pregnant as such extreme heat not good for mommy or baby (at least that’s what I hear). I’m also starting to see some abs coming in, so that’s always a plus! I’m also reading as many books as I can, and going to see the latest movies once a month (since when did movies get so freaking expensive!) with Darling Husband, as those are things you always hear new moms and dads saying they have no time for.

I wish I’d gotten the hot stone massage I had saved up – we conceived really fast so when my appointment rolled around I was already 5 weeks, no hot stones for me 🙁 Maybe a full body detox wrap or something too, I don’t think they like to do those on pregnant ladies. I’ll get some spa time after the baby and Daddy can have some QT with the little one, but it sure would have felt nice before 9 months of such amazing body changes!
Oh, and I did do this and am glad I did: PIG OUT on soft cheese and sushi as soon as we started talking about TTC. One night I had nothing but brie on crostini and shrimp cocktail 🙂
You might find you can eat spicy food in your second trimester – I was fine with all kinds of food for all of my second and into my third trimester, it only got harder when the heartburn kicked in around 30 weeks.
