Hi bees – It’s been awhile since I’ve visited WB, but I’m trying to brainstorm a party with my family, and I figured there was no where better to come!
My mom is turning 50 in August, and my father and siblings and I are trying to throw something together for her. We can’t decide if we’d like to take her to a fancy dinner in Boston, with just a few of her closest friends and family, or maybe rent out the local ice cream stand and have a BBQ with free mini-golf etc.
My dad has set a budget of $5000. I’m thinking the ice cream stand idea, although fun, is getting thrown out because it brings us to the top of the budget and we don’t think the people who come would take advantage of everything that’s included with the price.
I’d love ideas from other Bees!! We obviously want to do something very special for my mom – she does amazing things for us all every day.
Here’s some more details: 1) my family lives in MA, about 40 minutes outside Boston 2) my mom isn’t a huge fan of surprises so a HUGE surprise party isn’t a great idea 3) if we had a small gathering, there would be about 15 people; if we were going to make it big, we’d invite about 50-70
Ok guys, impress me with your creativity!!
