You’ve played the going to bed game. Your LO has brushed their teeth, bathed, pajama’d, curled up in bed, had their stories read and their foreheads kissed, you’re finally able to drop trou and relax in bed, watch TV or read or whatever…. It’s been an hour or so (or, okay like 3 in my case), kid ought to be SOUND asleep. Then amid the TV or the the fan or the A/C, you hear a faint, “Mama?” Did you even hear anything? You let it go… Turn the volume down just in case, so you can hear better. Quiet. Then you hear it again! “MAMA!” You run over to check on your LO to find them… Totally passed out!!
Does this ever happen to anyone? I think it may be my cat… He is learning to sound like a person for attention… But it still creeps me out!!

Yes! It most often happens to me in the shower. I know Dirty Delete and DS are either asleep or downstairs with my husband, but I swear I can hear them crying for me. I hate when it happens at night, but I hate it more in the shower, because I like to take really long showers, lol.

Last night I think LO had a bad dream. He started crying and it didn’t seem like the kind of cry that would stop and he’s fall back asleep, so I went in. He was sitting up crying, but the second I picked him up, his head flopped on my shoulder and he was silent and already back asleep.
It freaked me out, but now that he is older (14 months) I don’t worry as much about the sounds he makes while sleeping.
