My mother is letting me borrow her veil for my wedding that she wore in the 80’s, and while I think its really unique and lovely, Im just not sure about the headpiece that is on it. In a way, I think it would be really vintage and cool. But then again, its kind of obstructive to the hair situation and might be a little “too much”. I think I could easily detach the veil itself from the headpiece if need be. So, what are your thoughts? Should I keep it?
**If you say yes to keeping it, then what kind of hair? My dress has a low back so I thought I would do it up originally…but down always looks good…and the headpiece may be better with down…I dont know!

I think it’ll look great with your dress. A low chignon would look great at the nape of your neck. Congrats!!

I’m using my mum’s veil from the 80’s too. Her headpiece was more of a circlet with a few short sections of tulle sticking up around the top (so cringe-worthy), but there are some nice lace appliques that match my dress. She cut the veil off along the top and it turned out to be more of a really long semi-circle shape. I just sewed it onto a cheap, clear comb from the supermarket. Et voila! Old veil, modern look! (Sorry the pics are so big >_<)
