For Moms who have given birth, did your SO “look” when the baby was born?
My husband kind of thinks he would like to stay up by my head, and I think he will change his mind in the moment.
So I’m just wondering how many partners actually “look”?

@Sunshine09: My SO knew I didn’t want him to look and while I’m pretty sure he would have hung out down there if I’d wanted that, I don’t think he minded at all.I wanted him up by my head. Because I was a little anxious about him still seeing me as sexy and all that after watching me give birth. But yeah, then I got sectioned and he was not invited to peek under the curtain.

My husband wanted to watch! My mom and sister however were also in the room and I did not want them to see anything. They saw everything! When your in the moment everything just flys out the window. It’s such an exciting thing that I would’nt be surprised if he ended up sneaking a peek.

@Sunshine09: I’m curious to see how voting goes on this! I don’t have kids but I have thought about this….. I used to work labor and delivery. I’m a nurse and I’ve seen it all. I’m pretty much immune to it myself but not sure if I want my Darling Husband to see it from that view. I know as a nurse in most of my experiences the men look. Some women wanted mirrors so they could see as well so there were big mirrors for them to see…….. No way will I do that thou!

My husband is going to be there but he’s not going to be looking, or so he says. I think he’ll end up watching the baby come out but not specifically looking at the rest of things (if that makes sense).

@Sunshine09: That’s what happened with my husband. All along, he said he would stay by my head and shoulders but when I was delivering our baby, he watched and kind of gave me a play-by-play.

He didn’t make it on time I went through labour and delivery too fast. But I believe he would look due to excitement that was in the room.

My husband watched even though I originally did not want him to. I also ended up watching in the mirror which I swore I would never, ever do. But all my modesty went out the window when we got to the hospital. I’m really glad that I did because it gave me motivation to push and I’m glad that I have that memory of how she arrived in thIs world.

I’m pretty sure I’ll be having a c-section when the time comes, but if I don’t I do not want him looking!

He watched the whole thing and thought it was neat.
ETA: He’s still interested in having sex with me. 😉

My SO did not want to look, but he did glance at one point and then happened to be looking when the remaining goo came out, which he didn’t expect to happen 🙂 He was traumatized for a bit.
