I’m hoping to rack the brains of NB brides! I live in Calgary with fiance and we are getting married here Sept 2012. Since he is from Moncton, we are planning a second reception in the Moncton area a week later. I’m having more difficulty than anticipated finding a venue for approx 50 people. Here are the places I’ve looked into.
Can anyone suggest other places?
La Teraz, Fisherman’s Paradise, McGinnis Landing @ Crystal Palace, Ramada Convention Centre, Wedgewood Hall, Memramcook Institute, Wild Rose Inn, Cap-pele beach, Cocagne Marina, Captain Dan’s, Lion’s Clubs, and every golf course within 45 minutes of Moncton.
Phew, long list, sorry

Im in Saint John, not Moncton but I have heard this place does weddings….http://www.magnetichillwinery.com/index.html
I read a local photographers blog once with a wedding at Memramcook Institute and it looked amazing.

@drakeland: My cousin got married at a ranch/camp about 45 minutes out of Moncton, but I can’t recall the name of it.

If you are looking to just do a reception then I would really look into the Crown Plaza hotel in Moncton, you could rent out the top floor (used to be called the top deck). It is wonderful and has a great view of the city, it can accomidate about 75 sitting down more standing . We are using it for our own wedding for the cocktail hour and day after brunch.

I am sitting in a hotel room at the Crowne Plaza right now 🙂 I am half-tempted to run upstairs and see what it looks like!

@SarahSmilesDec28: You should 🙂 It’s awesome, and their wedding co-ordinator is AMAZING, her name is Tanya and she is adorable 🙂
