So in effort to spend as little as possible I have been reading many posts, and we have made several major deiscions. I found a photo today of something that inspired me. Apples. Silly I know right. Well My thought process is to combine as many items as possible to cut costs.
For example… Hand dipped caramel apples to double as desert, and center pieces…(we aren’t cake people) the theme will be the apple of my eye… here is the photo that inspired this thought tell me what you think.

I think it is a great and very cute idea; however, the apples do brown quickly so you would have to get someone to prepare them right before the wedding.

That’s super cute! Although I don’t know about combining desserts and favors. Unless you just skip favors, I think that’s ok to do.

There is an apple orchard not too far from my house who makes these in bulk. I am thinking about either gathering my girls the night before (we are getting married on a sunday so it works) and doing them all, or paying the orchard to do them. We are getting married in May… short engagement so my 118 days is a super time crunch!

@future.mrs.campfield: these are really cute! i like the idea of them being dessert/centerpeices, but i wouldn’t really consider it a favor if you’re supposed to enjoy it at the wedding. if you can afford it, i would definitely pay the orchard to have them made. save yourself and your girls the stress of having to execute something so important the night before the big day.

I think those would make pretty unique centerpieces, and the look so yummy!!
