Start helping with the mortgage when you have moved in and are living there full time.

I would wait until you are living together.

Until you move in together, I would each keep your separate accounts and just open up one joint saving account that you put equal amounts into. Once you are living together you can join everything and then you would start paying your share of the mortgage.

If you aren’t contributing anthing now, I think it makes sense to hold off until your name is on it.

I don’t think it’s necessary until you’ve actually moved in.
